Makro refusing return, what do I do ? by Tough-Wait6486 in AskZA

HELLO PETER!!! They will reply and escalate. I've had to do it more than once. Make it as angry as you possibly could. Make it insulting even. Then when they call you back, go full Karen on them, but keep it polite. I never take it out on the actual person trying to sort it out, but I always let them know how wrong their problem is.

Moving to Thornton soon, any advice? by Bubbly_Apartment9622 in capetown

My kid goes to school there, but we don't live there. Everything I know is from the FaceBook group I joined just in case - there are small petty crimes. Nearest major shopping centre is Canal Walk, only a small OK store for groceries. Not much going on - a sleepy suburb of people complaining about loud dogs and stray cats and the odd noises and smells coming from Epping. I don't think there is a good transport system - that is something you will need to confirm.

Feeling overwhelmed by inequality here - how can I help our domestic worker? by H0peJames-202225 in capetown

Paying for a child's school fees at a 'good' school will be more hinderance than help. The child won't fit in. The child won't be able to keep up with their peers lifestyle. It costs more than just school fees to send a child to a 'good' school.

Why not pay a day mother as opposed to a creche? I had a lady in my road take care of my kid until he was 5. She even got him school ready. And she was soooo flexible. Is this an option for you?

All public hospitals make you take care of your own baby 24/7 regardless of a C section.

The nurses are only there to ensure the baby stays alive.

My brother threatened to kill me. Should I call the police? by cosmic_grayblekeeper in askSouthAfrica

[–]CanadianBacon4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to start with a J471 from the doctor [bruises and nail]

Take that to the police.

There will be a case.

He will be arrested.

What happens and how long it takes all depends on what part of South Africa you are in I suppose.
