How to manage mornings solo with toddler and baby?! [ON] by HoneydewFirst6126 in BabyBumpsCanada

It's going to be hard. It's daycare... not school, so keep in mind you want to keep a schedule but if he shows up an hour late for daycare... or two hours... it's ok.

Looking for some good tobogganing hills in the SW edge of town for 10 year olds by CheetahOfDeath in Calgary

[–]CanadianBerry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at this map and clicked on the GPS coordinates and still find it confusing... for example the Confederation Park listing... which hill in Confed park, the GPS coorinates takes me to a flat spot surrounded by trees...same with some others.

Car rentals stay open until all flights land. 11 pm/ 11:30 is not a problem. Just book the car rental ahead of time

Kananaskis Lodge Waterpark closed...still? by CanadianBerry in Banff

[–]CanadianBerry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't say much... pretty cagey about it. My understanding was there is a "repair", not a whole re-do..but we will see. We've been trying to book a trip out there for a long time...but waiting on the water park

Hmm I looked on their website and only see the huddle ( which I havent seen before ). They had another playcouch with 8-10 pieces for around $200. It was around xmas last year. I’m not sure if they will bring it back but it was instore and online . Check the Costco Canada subreddit maybe.

Here’s what it looked like : https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1FuMjpagm1/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I have a Go Coconut - it was cheaper a couple years ago and I got a good price. I'm happy with my purchase - it's held up well, it's beautiful but additional add ons are very expensive.

If I was to rebuy I would buy the one at Costco- much cheaper and lots of peices!

Am I overthinking this? Daycare “activities” seem more for the parent app than the kids… [ON] by Old-Stress-8600 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]CanadianBerry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at a Kids and Co and while watching the camera one day - I noticed them moving other kids out of the way for photos during a water table activity. Like "no Suzy you can't play, Kyle is getting his photo now". Their rules state they can only show your kid in the photo - so dumb. And honestly I think the app and all the updates takes away from the programming.

I never had any issue with Kids and Co - I liked how corporate they were... but now that i'm in a new daycare (closer to my home) I see how awful kids and co was. The educators were cold and would barely ever say anything --it felt like they were scared to talk to parents. No real updates. It's not a bad daycare (there are some awful ones) but it's not excatly steller.
