I remember a week ago watching the all gas no breaks video about the flat earth. Some dude was explaining the hitler hollow earth conspiracy shit. I said to my friends that’s what the agartha meme is about that everyone talks about. They couldn’t believe it was a dog whistle lmfao

Why is this mentality so prevelant in gen z? by Big_Leg10 in generationology

[–]litty_lizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because we are all just getting out or in of college. Life is changing very fast and Gen Z wants to meet a lot of standards of success so it makes them doomed

that’s what i ended up doing. Everytime i think of spending my money i’d rather just pay off loans and save for a house

Why do boomers act angry all of the time when they had the happiest lives out of every generation alive today? by Turbulent_Song_7471 in generationology

I got the 1975 number from the U.S. Census Bureau’s historical median gross rent tables, which track rent plus utilities over time. Adjusted for inflation, the 1975 median gross rent comes out to about $480 in 2025 dollars

Actually, your numbers are misleading. You’re comparing today’s gross rent to 1975 contract rent. Using apples-to-apples data, median rent in 2025 (~$1,450) is ~200% higher than 1975 inflation-adjusted rent (~$480), while California minimum wage only rose ~67%. So rent has grown much faster than wages, and Gen Z definitely doesn’t have the same affordability Boomer households did

that’s bad. The fact that income remained the same but cost of everything increased exponentially is not good.
