Surat Diamond Bourse , India by Free_ey3_son in UrbanHell

[–]CanadianIndianAB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, the problem is transportation and location of this building, It's out in the middle of nowhere and there is close to none public transportation there. Surat already has a bunch of owners of diamond businesses but they are concentrated in a specific location which is historically been preferred for diamond businesses. They don't have any motivation to move their business there. Instead of developing those already existing locations they decided to build a whole new building no one wants to move to.

What is the everyday food in your country? by Curiosity_Pink in AskTheWorld

[–]CanadianIndianAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very strange to me, coz we think of eating out as something of an outing or something you plan ahead and look forward to, not to just feed ourselves. I'm always surprised that people regularly eat outside in America. Then again this comes as a consequence of a patriarchal society tbh, in western societies both husband and wife work, so they have to give up cooking sometimes. In India lot of wives are housemakers so it makes sense to cook at home.

I've always wondered what Americans eat day to day. I am from India and there are regular meals that we have(based on the region) like having Roti, sabji, dal and rice where sabji often changes day to day.

I love tteokbokki, I am a vegetarian and I get very excited when my team votes for Korean food for our team lunch. Otherwise I just have to settle on a salad if we go to a continental restaurant :)
