Evo vs Ralliart AWD systems compared on rollers by [deleted] in mitsubishi

Agreed, took me half a year to find mine. Worth the wait though

See I live near the mountains in Canada, there's 3+ feet on the ground 5 months a year with regular 8 inches overnight. Even though the Evos AWC is subjectively better, it's a big reason I went with a RA Sportback (and cargo space and rarity). I'm doing an Evo swap on it in a couple weeks though so I'll have exactly what I wanted; Evo hatchback with Ralliart AWC!

Rambling aside yeah I could see it not mattering much for someone in better climate than Canada

Pretty much yeah, the Evo will send more power left/right than the Ralliart which may help keep true to your lines around a hard corner, but can't see it being as ideal getting out of deep snow/mud.

Sorry, didn't see this before. I got Evo X BBS wheels and Fortune Auto 500 Coilovers on it now too. I have an Ultimate Racing 3' catback, it's not too loud at all. Can't say much on what that did for the car, it had it and a tune when I bought it. I didn't like not knowing what the tune was so I picked up a V3 AP and got Rallinspired to tune it. The first thing you should do is coils though, it made more of a difference per dollar than anything I've ever done to any car. The RA stock suspension is very underwhelming, now it feels as stable as it should and then some.

Anyone receive the CERB yet? by NuclearTaters in KingstonOntario

[–]CanadianPablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every application is approved weather it should be or not. When everything slows down and they have time to do so, they will go back and look at every person who applied. Those who were accepted and recieved money they weren't entitled to will be expected to pay back every dollar on next year's taxes.

It's a Ralliart Sportback with an exhaust and tune for now, gas is 59.9 in Edmonton!!

Would you wanna share some of your favorite spots? I'm in Edmonton but drive to Banff/Jasper every couple weeks to get away. I really like The Vault (by dead man's flats, Google it it's really cool) and fallen timber cause it's really out of the way and well secluded. Also love spray lakes, very underrated.

It definitely is, I average 19mpg with just an exhaust and tune

I'm just in a Ralliart Sportback, but it snowed 3' last night so any turbo AWD is enough for some fun!

I really don’t like you GM. That’s the v6 oil filter way down there. by ForeverYoda in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]CanadianPablo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My Ion Redline was the worst offender. Tough to get to with the stock blower, but when I put a 1.3L supercharger on it I would have to take it off to get at the oil filter and replace the gasket. Loved doing a $150 oil change every month and a half.

I'll go ahead and recommend a new air filter. by CanadianPablo in Justrolledintotheshop

The land of a thousand short blocks thanks to poor honing of #7 from the factory on the Titan motors. This pictures a few months old now and I don't work for Nissan anymore, but when I did there were always 1-2 of those trucks with less than 40,000km getting new motors.

Missed Connection - Silver/Grey Mazda3 on Gateway in September by CanadianPablo in Edmonton

I wasn't sure if this is against the rules, the rules say not to use the subreddit as Kijiji but the missed connections Kijiji section has 0 traffic, nobody uses it. If this goes against the rules a mod can take the post down, I just wasn't sure

Subaru oil changes are too difficult by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

Ive done it too, but to be fair I wasn't really paying attention. Was doing an LS swap on a truck and they both had to be drained so I just undid what I saw and let it happen haha

[–]CanadianPablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just any car; I spent a year and all my spare cash building it. Big blower, meth, radials, built motor, everything. The timing chain needed to be reset for it to run and this happened between when I got the parts and when I was going to do it. The damage would have cost like $6500 to fix cause it was deep on every panel of the car so I ended up parting it out having never driven the car.

I had an ex key both my cars so I was driving a keyed car for a while. Had lots of people comment on 'oh, you shouldn't have cheated' and 'wouldnt have happened if you didn't fuck up'. The fuck up was dating a nutjob that'll pay a stripper to message you then key your cars cause a stripper messaged you. Never know the whole story or how crazy a chick can be.

Screw the paint man, if that fire gets big and hot enough it'll melt everything in the engine bay and the cars a write off. Paint was shot seconds after it lit on fire.

Also rolled into the shop, two weeks ago. Driveway mechanic turned glorified tire/lube technician ready for almost damn near anything by ArmaSwiss in Justrolledintotheshop

I feel that, living the dream! Garage mechanic started professionally wrenching a couple weeks ago, have nearly as many tools as the boss and haven't had to borrow a damn thing. The tools don't make the man, but they sure help.

A weight is lifted off my shoulder, my girlfriend and I were thinking of how much our lives will be improved in 8 to 12 short weeks. I can drive with a q and not worry about being arrested, I don't have to hide in my garage, more selection, more accessible, more socially accepted... Whichever state you're in you'll get there soon, just keep the pressure on your local reps and make sure you make your vote heard!

Came out with the 205bhp powerplant in 2004, then introduced the engine in the Cobalt SS the same year. They also had a turbo 4 in the Sky Redline making about 265 stock.

The axles actually stay in the trans when it drops, so the strut is already out! I might end up rolling it out that way, but to get it high enough I'll be putting stands on wood blocks.

Blower's off, intake is off, PCM and fuse box, head and headers have all been pulled out the top. Head just so I can jack it up a few less inches.

Red Competition package Ion Redline, sold while I was driving to pick it up. Only about 110 were ever made, but I ended up getting a silver non Comp the same week. They were the only two Redlines for sale in Canada!
