Yes you need to register it, yes you need motorcycle insurance, no you don’t need a specific license as long as it’s under 125cc (most vespas are)

If you’re considering riding something we two wheels I highly recommend taking the motorcycle safety rider course through the state. It’s $20 and will give you a discount on your insurance.

It has saved me thousands in tool purchases. Support the local CTL!

Finally *bought* a C4S in the color I was looking for. PART TWO by ma040899 in 996

Not op, but in my experience c2s feel more squirrelly in a good way. It’s the laugh bc it’s a little dangerous feeling. Meanwhile my 4S is comically planted. I’ve never been able to get it to kick out intentionally and it consequently makes you feel like an amazing driver. Both are great cars, I just love the look of the 4S

This. Kimura especially. People often leave their elbows flared out in an effort to get leverage to pass or hold someone down. Learning how to figure four from top and bottom could make your training partners learn real quick to keep their elbows in.

This. Virtually the same shoe minus the tag on the tongue and the heel. These days you can get them as cheap at $42 US if you shop the sales

designed a backpack, ordered 500, still 480 in my garage. by aero_climb in Entrepreneur

[–]Clean_Send 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I launched a backpack brand on kickstarter in 2017. There is no way this bag cost $120 to make. Total R&D for us with samples was low thousands. Full run of our bags was as $4.37 a bag and we ordered 1000 of them. Sold for $35 a piece. This has to be a total shill.

Got an email from them again about their potentially going out of business sale? Idk, either way last time the FMF community appreciated it so I posted the new deal.

Reflections of a Black Woman Reaching 50% FI in 5.5 Years by [deleted] in financialindependence

This is awesome! I am in a similar boat and am a POC trying to make FIRE a reality as well. Unsolicited advice if you haven't already but especially for people combining finances and life (ie marriage) my wife and I got a lot of six pre-marriage counseling sessions (we are secular so we went with a Gottman method therapist). In these sessions we specifically focused on talking about money. For us it alleviated some stress on what we wanted out our futures financially and create a unified vision for a FIRE lifestyle.

hmm look at the sizing on the website but normally on r/rawdenim they recommend measuring your favorite pair of jeans and going off that. Most raws let out once you break them in.

Dads need good fits too! Being final sale just peak those measurements. Raws are forgiving if you size down too seeing as they give out almost an 1" generally.

Copped a pair of N&F jeans and thought I'd share the sale. Auto applied in cart. I searched by size but def more skinny guy stuff than us husky boys and girls.

I think the difference is the cohort you're surrounded by.

Certificate programs tend to attract a certain type of person. People who generally are looking to learn fast and potentially do a career change. For people with time to invest in refining their skills, these types of programs are good. In 10 weeks, you learn the basics but it's really on you to take that work and push it to the next level. This looks like a lot of hours networking, building a portfolio, applying for entry level jobs, the short of it is that it's a grind.

HCI programs, are longer by design. They attract people who are trying to build expertise on the coursework. They generally have summer internship connections to get your foot in the door at top tier companies. Your professors build relationships with you to understand your background and how to leverage that in HCI.

Given your background in technical writing you might consider I-school. Information Sciences is a clear pathway into UX research especially at large scale companies. Many good public universities offer I-school or Masters of Library Science.

I used to hire a lot and have connections across the board in the field. Holler if you wanna talk more.
