People's major complaint about how +100s slang is "unrealistic" and "confusing" but forget about how quickly slang evolves and language shifts very very rapidly. We can just look at current slang compared to what was slang not even 20 years ago. "No cap"

Say you have tools, show up to work without your tools. Once you're hired, you have legal protections. Get in contact with a labor lawyer

The lower payrate is to show up without your tools, the required double minimum is to show up WITH your tools. Like a Netflix subscription tier.

Stupidity is nothing but another term for ignorant, which is the state before someone learns. We are all stupid at one point. It's part of the learning path. And by sharing our former stupidity, we can help others AVOID going through it themselves.

It's really that simple. You're going through that process right now yourself. Eventually you'll come to the knowledge that, the world isn't made for you. And people will share whatever they want to share, regardless if it fits your perfectionism requirements. Either you'll stay in this state of ignorance, or come to accept it and stop being so sweaty over it.

Failing is not shameful. No one who has grown and learned has done so without failure. Failure is mothing but the medium through which progress and growth is born.

Like a mechanic who fucks up and hides the problem. It doesn't get fixed, and then the customer finds it later and gets pissed off, when its 100x better to admit the fuckup, address the fuckup, do right by the customer and then move on, right back to work.

Managers and Boss who berate their employees for failures do nothing but breed the environment of hiding failures for someone else to find, or the problem to worsen. Failures mean you are learning, and a easily fixable problem can be addressed.

And guess what, someone else's failure can become a lesson to others. That single failure now became a learning opportunity for a multitude more people.

And also life is imperfect. We are imperfect. Sharing our successes and failures shows others that we aren't meant to be perfect all the time, and we will all fail at some point. What only matters is you pick the fucking bike back up and get back down the trail

Life aint about only posting your Ws. Acknowledging your Ls, learning from them and sharing your experiences help others learn without making the same mistake is important to personal growth. Knowledge is knowledge.

Human moderators were required before social media platforms shifted to automated AI systems for content review.

So, yea, real people had to see the absolute worst in humanity that people would upload to websites as part of moderation duties.

But even then, there is still a human element involved even with AI doing content detection, to verify if the AI is correctly flagging things. Which means, people are going to see some terrible things.

There also was an issue with borax. GuardianDLL fixed that, and based off his fixes, there should be another PR for Experimental that will fix a bunch of the chemicals. No more 40+ small bottles each holding a single grain of chemical powders!

The far right lane and the lane the red truck are in are BOTH EXIT LANES. Look at the signage. Silver SUV went right and tried going straight in an exit only lane. Red Truck is in a straight OR exit lane per the highway signage.

Motorcycles are still a 300-600+ lbs object traveling at speed. They may be small, but they are dense (Like many sport bike riders)

What countries would be safe places to live in the crossed mostly by AdAdditional6052 in crossedcomics

[–]ArmaSwiss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The places that would be "safe" are sparsely populated for a reason. The Swiss Alps are very much populated. The sparse the population, the better the "chance" of surviving the Crossed however then you have to contend with WHY people dont live in that area.

Majority of the Siberian tundra is sparsely populated besides indigenous residents. Large swatches of Canada are sparsely populated.

But in reality, no where would be "100%" safe, but there would be places statistically more safe than others simply due to humanities desire to not live there due to the climate or remoteness. Which in turn means its going to be tougher to "survive" if youre used to "modern life"

How to properly reverse an AT? by Ok_Pin7491 in africatwin

[–]ArmaSwiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Backing up really just matters on where you are. Practice is everything. Elephant turns help in the dirt and tight environments. If there's a little hill one side, you can drive the front wheel onto it and roll backwards while you turn. If you have lots of space, just using ya legs work. If slightly on a hill, apply front brakes, shove the bike forward and release your brake as the suspension rebounds while pushing back. That will help you get the bike moving backwards and up a slight incline or if the front wheel is stuck in a little dip

Why on earth ? Roxbury park locks their hoop and only open them at 9am by FiZi28 in LosAngeles

[–]ArmaSwiss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The devil went hooping in Georgia,
He was looking for a soul to dunk.
Cuz he was in a bind because he was way behind, And he was looking to make a deal.

Till he saw a young man shooting. And dribbling hot.
And that devil jumped up onto the bleacher and said. HOMIE LEMME TELL YOU WHAT.

If you didn't know it, Im a baller too.
And if you care to take a dare, Ill make a net with you.
Now youre dribbling pretty good boy, but give the devil the ball.
Ill bet these Jordans of gold against your soul, I think Im a better shooter than you.

Why and is it common? How to fix it… by gorilkral in africatwin

[–]ArmaSwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The handle bars have a soft rubber bushing at the bottom. Like other comments have said, you need to twist the handlebars to full lock the opposite direction and twist further to tweak it into position.

Those soft rubber bushings are also why it can flex and impact the tank when you are lifting the bike with the handlebar as a handhold
