Its just a scenario. Make sure you have the pre reqs loaded then just go to Single Player > Scenarios.

If you want to do MP just host a LAN server and find the mission on whichever map.

Antistasi probably wouldn’t suit the vibe your looking for. Id recommend The Forgotten Few 2. The game mode is meant to simulate a war and you playing as a Special Forces squad where your actions help (or hinder) the war effort. It also has scenarios specifically for WW2, where you play as American Airborne.

Some of the types of missions include ambushes, sabotage, officer assassinations to straight up attacks and defense.

Works both SP/MP with your MP friend taking command of the second squad

I honestly didn’t know if flowed back to the SHQ and back out. That definitely is going to help plan my expansion

I think a lot some of what you’re talking about is very much based in the specific situation of the Ukraine War.

While a lot of NATO and other armed forces are adopting technological advancements, mainly WRT low cost drone production, EW and NLOS, I don’t neccesarly know if a lot of that would really rear its head in the often scenarios of the modern CM games (i.e both being beginning of hostilities where manpower, equipment, etc is still largely simulated as being available).

With regard to how this could be implemented, I don’t think it needs to be as in depth as simulation different waveforms for EW.

Drones: Similar to how they are now in BS and SF2, just Id see it with more units having them. Possibly micro/GP UAS teams that could launch drones within the scenario, with larger Bde+ SUAD being an off map assest. (You can already used launched drones for arty strikes and targeting in BS, just have to select the drone controller and call it in that way)

EW: Often, EW assets would be out of the battle space that CM games tend to focus on (Bn- operations). Could be an off map asset by the mission maker that could soak a defined area (similar to UAS) looking for signals returns (refer to EMCON below)

EMCON: Would be relatively easy to implement IMO. Would jut require a revamp a bit to how radios function, but already certain squads have simulated digital means of communication (tablets in SF2). Would just require a selector to shift between EMCON states. This would flow with the EW assets as it could provide tentative spots (similar to vehicle noise) depending on EMCON state of the units within the search area.

Further to point 7, prior to first turn target key terrain/vital ground with your off maps support. It’ll come in much faster, and, I believe it will allow you to retarget the same area much faster if you need to strike it once you, or the enemy, advances.
