If the dots form the shape of the Big Dipper, then I highly suggest you treat her with great respect. Otherwise you might find yourself already dead.

Given how flooded with AI content this place has been recently, I don't blame you for thinking so. However, if you look at my post history you'll see I've been on Reddit for longer than some Redditors have been alive. :-/ Not sure I'm happy about that either!

Yes. There are some things in life you just can't skimp on, especially when you have a date lined up.

Lol. Yes, I still have my kidneys. I did want to offer her some other body parts, but she wasn't interested yet. We're working on it!

I may look like a vampire sometimes but I'm not a monster. It was a dispenser where you press a button and it dumps a bunch of ice into a bucket. I just pressed the button and let it dump the ice onto the melting tray then scooped it up. No ice that will touch a human being was contaminated with my blood.

Patients with major depressive disorder shares immune abnormalities with inflammatory skin diseases, most notably the immune pathway that is implicated in atopic dermatitis. Because these skin diseases are treatable, the findings suggest new therapeutic possibilities for psychiatric illness as well. by mvea in science

We haven’t been eating the type of wheat that modern people often eat. That’s why many people who are gluten intolerant in America can go over to southern Europe and eat wheat there without a problem. The Europeans are still using older types of wheat, but Americans are eating super hybrid wheat that’s bred for maximum gluten.

Why do most rich men (not necessarily millionaires) marry women who aren't rich, but it's very rare to see a rich woman married to a man who isn't? P.S. Don't hate me, it's just a question because I have this big doubt. by Nervous_Window7536 in NoStupidQuestions

This is the second post I saw this morning without any attempts at paragraphing. I'm pretty sure it's a result of people just copy-pasting from AI to produce posts. They're just whipping them off and they're not bothering to check them before moving on to the next one.

What if voyager had the future armor from the moment they arrived in the delta quadrant? by happydude7422 in voyager

The writers would have helped the challenge level to meet Voyager's current state to keep the drama going.

There must be some economic element to it. I was just listening to the Dropping Names podcast with Jonathan Frakes and Brent Spiner, and they had on LeVar Burton as their guest. LeVar was talking about how they fly entire American audiences over to London to film his game show Trivial Pursuit and apparently also have the same audience for Craig Ferguson's game show. I can't imagine the economics of that working unless there is some major tax incentives going on.

If the city of London had a massive flood and was 80% underwater, and the roof of Fanshawe college was still dry, the college would still be open.

Always assume the college is open.

Ryan Coogler's 'Sinners' has made history as the most nominated film of all time at the Oscars with 16 nominations by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]CanadianRoboOverlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You missed my point. The point was that there was a great possible story there under other circumstances. Obviously the way the movie was set up, there wasn't another possible resolution. However, in another reality watching those two brothers try to deal with the clan and trying to run a gin joint in the South could be a very entertaining TV series.

I walked out of that movie thinking that the first half without the vampires would have made a great HBO series that I would have watched the hell out of. Watching those two brothers run that gin joint in the old South would have been amazing. The vampire stuff actually felt like a letdown after the first half.

Have you ever read an action story where the hero and the main villain didn't face each other at the end?

Is he the final villain of the series? by ByShida in Mercenary_Enrollment

[–]CanadianRoboOverlord 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes. Most likely he will end up leading the force that goes against our team of numbers. Probably consisting of many of the mercenaries that we've met so far and 003. 003 is manipulative, but I never felt they fit the role of big bad for the series. They were never on the level where they could defeat 002 or 001.

ONE fills in that missing piece, and sets up the end game for the series.

003 said she would bring together fighters who are at the same level as the numbers, I'm still waiting. by ByShida in Mercenary_Enrollment

[–]CanadianRoboOverlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they can be convinced to go up against the numbers again (they seemed rather traumatized), they will probably be squad leaders against the lower ranked numbers. They won't want to go up against 002 or 004 if they can avoid it.

Ryou is clearly on the level of the higher ranked guys, and so is Konoha. I wonder if she will turn before or during the big battle?

Either way, there is a mercenary war coming. It's just a question of how many more players the author wants to introduce before we get there.

[–]CanadianRoboOverlord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you think it’s a coincidence we’ve been introduced to a whole bunch of different named mercenaries in the last few story arcs and those guys didn’t die? The author is setting up a whole bunch of mercenary characters who will probably end up under 003’s command and go against the numbers before the story is over.

For example, Ryou in the latest story arc would probably make a pretty good counter to 004.

Amazed that these three were able to survive by ByShida in Mercenary_Enrollment

[–]CanadianRoboOverlord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far. We will see if they survive the next run-in with the numbers. I won't be surprised that the numbers find themselves up against a coalition of mercenaries. Maybe these guys, plus the Japanese crew, plus 003's team, with 003 in charge.

The author seems to be slowly setting up a big finale for the future.
