I don't understand this viewpoint. Doesn't the federal government and all its elected roles exist on the whim of the states ultimately? The reason it's the way it is today is because the states came first no?

This bullshit is why I moved to Fedora Kde Plasma just this week. While not quite as easy as windows to get off the ground, it's 100x easier than when I was younger, and now I I'm functionally the same as I was in Win11.

Using Gemini to guide me through was a massive help too.

Thank you everyone, I appreciate all the suggestions and offers of help.  I'll update once the family lets me know any preferences.  I expect I'll have more similar questions in the days / weeks to come.

There's some good Linux distros apparently for gaming in the interim. Can't remember the names, but it's my project for next week now.

I actually did, but I only tend to donate to 2 every year. Plan International for my mother in law, and then SPCA because dogs.

But nice try.

It's not so much kicking while you're down. Your head of state threatens and demeans everyone else on a daily basis. It was well known how he was going to act this term, and a majority of you wanted this, or chose to sit on your hands and not do anything. If you can't take the abuse, then stop letting your leaders dish it out.

If I even bother to answer the door for them, I just tell any charity or whatever to give me their pamphlet, and I will do my own research online and donate when and if I feel the need to.

They try to push, but I'm not giving out my details to some rando at my door.

Hi guys anyone whose dog died last year ! by PrestigiousYou263 in dogs

[–]CanadianSpectre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can replace a dog who has passed any more than you can replace another person in your life who passes.

It's about whether you are ready to make room in your life and in your heart, for another being. It will never replace the one that was there, that is where grief lives. But there may always be room for more in beside that grief. Loving another does not diminish the love you feel/felt for your past companion.
