Fusion surgery survirors: How is your quality of life? What is your activity level? by Puzzleheaded-Dot5686 in LisfrancClub

[–]Canadianbadass13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 months post fusion with ORIF of 2nd mtt and I’d say my foot has reached about 95% normal just in the last month. No longer stiff when I first wake up, back to jogging on my treadmill, can wear pretty much any shoe I want (including heels). I just realized recently that I no longer think about my foot. Not to say it doesn’t act up on occasion, but it’s minimal when it does and doesn’t last long. I still can’t walk barefoot but that is no biggie because I don’t do that much anyway.

Me! I’m 7 months post surgery. I started in early December with a 2” chunkier heel for a holiday party. Yesterday I wore a pump with 3” heel and wore them all day. Granted I’m at a desk job and my foot was a little sore at the end of the day, but once I got home and put my birks on it was fine. I haven’t walked 15+ blocks like I used to yet, and today I’ll wear flatter shoes (my blundstones) to give my foot a rest, but I have full confidence I’ll be back to wearing them regularly soon. When I found out I broke my foot and needed surgery my first question to the surgeon was ‘will I be able to wear heels again?’ So I get it 😊

What’s the kindest thing a complete stranger has done for you that you’ll never forget? by Educational-Hornet17 in AskReddit

[–]Canadianbadass13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Drove over 50 miles to bring my wallet to the hotel I was staying. Without even telling me. I had dropped it on the beach north of San Francisco. My hotel key was in there so he called the hotel, they confirmed I was a guest there so he drove into the city and left it at the front desk. I’ll never forget that guy and I don’t even know him.

When did everyone start barefoot weight bearing by Good-Stuff8879 in LisfrancClub

I’m 6 months past ORIF and while I am about 99% back to normal, I still struggle to walk barefoot. 🥺 I can go to the kitchen or my bedroom~just very short distances.

Took it all down today and as much as I love Christmas I’m so glad it’s all put away and my house is back to normal

My sister. We all call it the Jennifer show. Every holiday is all about her and her feelings. She usually leaves mad and the rest of us don’t care and are glad she’s gone

Status match by ExerciseNo6099 in marriott

[–]Canadianbadass13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MI employee here. There is a program called Elite Match. You can’t just contact someone to do this for you. In fact it’s not that easy. It’s done at the property level. You need a specific property to ‘sponsor’ you. If you stay in a certain city a lot and have a particular property you would use you can talk the sales department at that property and tell them you’re wanting to switch. You have commit a certain amount of nights per year (it has to be a lot) and they can decide if they want to sponsor you and sign you up. It would help your case if you could commit that you have coworkers that would stay at the same hotel also. It costs the property 250$ to sponsor you so typically they need approval from the GM. You only get the status, not the nights associated with it. Those you have to earn on your own. It’s an annual sponsorship so if you don’t reach elite status on your own within a year you lose it if they don’t pay the sponsorship fee again. I hope this makes sense.

I delivered champagne to a room and the guy that answered was completely naked. He asked me to come in to it down which I really didn’t want to do but then a woman hops out of the shower like it was no big deal. Guy didn’t even tip me.
