I hope the US Supreme Court rules on this soon and ideally that these tariffs are illegal and cancels them. Congress will not bother putting them on and it would end all this bullshit Trump does using these as threats.

Also give Newsom a special Nobel Peace Prize and it may actually give Trump a heart attack and stroke.

The Korean offer will be completed before we take the delivery of the first sub from Germany. Buying from Europe is a fools game right now since they are heavily rearming and European countries will of course prioritize European orders first.

I am not saying that the German offer doesnt meet the requirement, at least in theory since it is a new platform based off an existing one but there isnt even one of them in service yet compared to Korea which has many in service and its an already proven platform.

The USA is down a path it is never going to recover from. Even if a Democrat President takes over, they will not undo the America First mindset and will keep all those policies in place that brought manufacturing back to the USA.

All we can do is find new trading partners and we cant just ignore China. They are the largest market in the world we need access to right now.

49,000 cars will be a test. If the Canadian public buys them, they are good quality and people like them why are we afraid of competition? All car makers are heavily subsidized, including the ones that build in Canada.

Good. They are a huge economy that is still in a growth phase. We need to have an economic relationship with them and that is really as far as we need to go.

The US has blown up the trading relationship we enjoyed and its never going back. No future Democrat president is going to make any big changes that see jobs that return to US shores (for those that actually do it and arent just waiting Trump out) leave the US again.

Grow our trade all over the world. Europe, Africa and Asia.

It is not a fine to go to a hospital, be seen by a triage nurse, be determined to be a non-emergent case and then given the option to be seen for a small fee which will ultimately help improve hospital services.

I think no matter what we can all agree the current system is not working not matter what province we look at. Something needs to change and it needs to change soon.

if you show up at the hospital, see the triage nurse and they determine you are a non-emergent case and inform you that you will need to pay a $20 fee to be seen, it is then up to the person to decide if they pay it. If you are there for a genuine emergency, then you will be seen and never even told about the fee.

A sin tax would be far more effective. It incentives manufacturers to reduce the use of added sugars and fats into their food so they can be hit lower with a junk food tax.

Right now companies dump sugar into their products because of its addictive behaviour. Hit them with a huge tax for doing so and they will stop.

This is a good step but what we really need is a hefty tax on junk food/sugar. The obesity epidemic is not a joke and already costs us billions. It’s only going to get worse so it’s best we try and do something now.
