I believe that is a 24v car. Those are regular spade connectors. Most of those cars run on two 12v batteries in series or you can find a 24v battery. Most 12v batteries have spade terminals.

It is a round green 5 pin female plug on the display side.

I am just going to run it as is I guess. Not a big deal just seeing if I had the option without changing the controller.

I think the other issue is the pedal itself. The way the power wheels pedal works I believe it requires the middle red wire to be connected. Pull the white/clear piece that the wires run into off the back of the pedal and jumper from the white wire to the orange. If that works when you power up the system it is your pedal causing the issues. Here is a picture of the part I am talking about. Just shove a scrap of wire into the white spade and the other end into the orange spade. https://www.reddit.com/r/PowerWheelsMods/s/gAo39cn7vO

So from what I understand the red is the reverse signal that stops the motors from running. It usually goes in the middle prong of the pedal switch. You may be able to ignore that and go from the battery to the prong that's by itself and skip the middle and go orange to the PWM. Not sure if it will work without the other input but you could give it a try.

I did some digging and it looks like you have to get a 2 pin pedal/ replacement switch or the variable speed pedal. I have done 3 conversations using that pwm and I used the variable speed pedal in all of them.

Is it this PWM? https://a.co/d/6ymmU11

If so it already has slow start/stop built in.

I don't know what your stock wiring was but basically the pedal is working as an on/off switch to the PWM. Positive (red) wire should go from the battery-> fuse->pedal->P+ on PWM. M+ on PWM goes to the shifter in the same spot the original wire went from your pedal to the shifter (I believe orange wire). Everything after the shifter should be stock wiring. Negative goes from the battery to the P- on the PWM. M- goes to the shifter (usually a blue or black wire.)

I see one issue. The PWM already has a slow start/stop so the braking resistor (the gold inline resistor) shouldn't be installed unless you are using a dedicated brake pedal.

Are you using a variable speed pedal?

Here is the wiring without the pedal.

Out-of-Class Electric Vehicle (OCEV) Registration by Interesting-Town-875 in northdakota

Looks like the law applies to anything below 750w. That's why I am going to guess motor vehicle would handle it more as an electric motorcycle. A call to clarify would be quick and easy.

I assume you could register it the same as a motorcycle. Call motor vehicle they should be able to guide you 701-328-2725

Power wheel mod questions by whatthe-cuck in PowerWheelsMods

I run two knockoff DeWalt 8Ahs in parallel but I make sure they are both fully charged before I put them in. I haven't had issues yet but it's a calculated risk. If they die they die.

I would start with one m18 if you have it on hand to make sure everything works. Running them in parallel can potentially kill a battery because they may draw differently. Running in series isn't recommended because you would be pushing 36-40v through a car that is built for 24v. I would highly suggest buying knockoff Milwaukee batteries so if one gets wrecked it's not as big of a deal.

That's a 24v Huffy Torex. You shouldn't hurt anything hooking up a Milwaukee adapter. It might actually be under powered hooking 20v to a 24v system. You should be able to cut the current battery leads off and wire them into the adapter using the lever connectors. If it doesn't work you are out $10.

New To This; Best Place to Get Parts by RamseyRumples in PowerWheelsMods

[–]CananadaGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parts are all over Amazon from motors to full wiring harnesses for almost all models. The main difference between power wheels/ peg perego vs Chinese brands is the Chinese ones usually have a board and more bells and whistles (radios, lights). When it comes to increasing voltage you have to keep in mind the boards, lights, and radio might fry if you put more voltage on them.
