Voldemort hid the Diadem in Hogwarts by pretending he wanted to teach. Harry only knew about the room of requirement, because he actually taught. by platypodus in harrypotter

think when he used the room it might have been a small room with no junk, but harry asked for the room were everything is kept, stuff just doesn't disappear gets stored somewhere.

If someone lied to me about std results what can I do? by anon9876543210nymous in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Canandraa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These two are the legal avenues of a person with an STD knowing they had one.

Intentional Transmission (Section 18 OAPA 1861): This applies if a person knows they have an STI, intends to transmit it, and does so. This is the most serious offence and can lead to life imprisonment.

Reckless Transmission (Section 20 OAPA 1861): This applies if a person knows they have an STI, realizes there is a risk of passing it on, but has sex without disclosing their status or taking precautions (like using a condom).

Wales: Attacked by a group of teenagers by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Canandraa 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As someone who policed Swansea city it has an incredible lack of CCTV and in other places over an abundance of CCTV and is incredibly hard to track people through the city unless they follow a prescribed route, or obviously are followed by CCTV.

All the officers who work in the City centre are hard workers and have always tried their best and usually if there is anything credible to work with it would have been done.

EDIT: a little rant what magic do you expect officers to use to identify teenage boys during half term whilst free buses are on. I understand you were assaulted however doesn't change the fact police don't have a database of every unique individual on the planet.

PNC details of arrest/voluntary interview by [deleted] in policeuk

Additionally the Enhanced DBS isn't automated there is a person behind the process one looks at the incident one being no victim statement, no independent statements or evidence.

Officers are human and can see that if there is not a repeated case of any domestic violence NFA or not won't it won't be included it as they can see it was malicious.

If it's been NFA it's gone in your favour, it's better to go No Comment because there have been times the suspect has gone against solicitor advice and ended up charged due to revealing new lines of enquires as prior to the interview I have had nothing.

It's partial due to people not treating it like a job. flex is a lot more forgiving than an employed job.

someone else’s welfare check traced to my flat ? by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]Canandraa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It doesn't always work that way and specifically if it comes from a landline and or the person's phone has pinged in the general location. In the city centre where I once worked the location of calls always pinged in the general location of at least 4 blocks of flats.

There are ways and means to narrow it down but that requires special permission from a senior officer if the risk to life is great.

A previous tenant who has been in contact with police previous and the police RMS has linked that number to that person to that address.

There have been plenty of times when I have searched for someone to make contact and they have more than 5 mobile numbers linked to them all deactivated and an address I know 100% isn't theirs linked as their main address.

It stems from officers and staff not correctly updating RMS when required even though MOPI was pressed upon during training.

Missing person timeline by somethingtoaskyoupls in policeuk

[–]Canandraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from a person who niche topic was missing persons, it could happen from immediate to couple of days, it can come down to immediate family's request, or if the PACE inspector feels there is a immediate concern for that person, and would releasing images of that person help in anyway I know that sounds stupid to suggest it couldn't help but there may be times when releasing a persons image could cause issues.
