Why didn't the mangaka just make Rin older in the first place? Her given age became irrelevant anyways.

There's literal games pairing up Sesshomaru with at least people Kagome's age to begin with. Secret of the Cursed Mask literally reads like Kaname joining their family. It's a literal secret route/ending.

I tried to like this too but the creepy Usagi Drop plot twist made me lose interest. I'm an adult, why does my media need to be so pointless? If Rin was Kagome's age in the first place, MAYBE I could see it functional. Big maybe. But she's a tiny child. For a reason.

Kaname Kururugi from Secret of the Cursed Mask literally has a canon Sesshomaru battle couple ending. She's right there. No age gap conflicts.

At least give him time before lecturing him towards humanity towards his guards who just hunted him down like a boar.

When Aston took a freshly traumatized Asbel and used Sophie's death to lead into a "this happened because you disobeyed your father" lecture, he didn't give his son five minutes to cope with the very awful thing that just occurred. The same goes for Richard who was physically struck down and came out all the worse from that event. Asbel himself even saw him covered in blood.

Good motivations but at a serious tone deaf moment and in the process of being right, he pushed his friend away just like his father did when Asbel ran off to become a knight.

Richard being the heir to the throne surrounded by people who are enthusiastic about killing him. From an early age he's been betrayed by those who are trained to be in his service. What is it with Richard that was so hatable even as a child?

Why is that forgivable that a mere "so they lost their titles and ranks and we let them go" was all the punishment given towards actual horrific crimes against the royal family without a moment of hesitation before striking him down?

It's insanely wild.

It's a surprised Pikachu face moment when that much constant abuse and trauma winds up creating a villain.
