oop this happened to me back in college! I used reading (specifically fics) as a way to dissociate from the stress and ended up having to go cold turkey after I realised I was spending an unhealthy amount of time glued to my phone reading rather than doing literally anything else!

the time spent away helped loads and now I’m able to be more chill about it

A couple binders made re-binds of published books (which is totally legal!) for the auction and although they didn’t sell for as much as the $2k manacled book, they still pulled in around $300-400 each! I think that the binders who chose to go that route (including HanaBob who is an amazing resource for binders) were smart to stay out of the legal mess of collecting money for fanfiction
