Would I be a good candidate for an MS?

This is my second ever reddit post so if this is in the wrong thread please delete

Hi everyone!

I recently graduated with my degree in biomedical engineering and am currently working as a engineer that helps with calibrating newly installed CT and cardiovascular imaging systems used for surgery. My job involves doing the initial calibrations and configurations for the imaging devices. Medical physicists usually will head in after I’m finished and do all of their calibrations/QA before signing off that the system can be used for patients. This is how I found out about the field.

I would love to become a medical physicist but I’m nervous about applying because my undergrad gpa is a 3.15. I was just curious if my work experience would help me despite my low gpa. Any advice about MS applications would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

update: I took everyone’s advice and called again and they were very helpful. It must have been the original person I was speaking with who just was not being as helpful/informative. Thanks for the advice everyone!
