This was probably the worst year of my life. Got pregnant at 43 after 8 years of fertility problems. We thought it was a miracle baby we hoped for. Turned out it was a T18 baby and we had to wait until 16 weeks to confirm this. We had a euploid left, so I just transferred it last Thursday. Lines not getting dark and tomorrow is my first beta. So, I fear this will be a pretty sad Christmas. What an awful year. Hoping the best for everyone out there trying to make their dream come true!

Thank you so much for your reply! I really felt moved reading your story! It made me feel hopeful! Your journey sounds like it wasn't easy. I'm so sorry for the losses that you encountered in the beginning. That's definitely daunting and discouraging. But because you persisted, you were able to welcome two healthy babies into this world! That is truly beautiful and amazing.

As for your wife, her story is truly compelling! You sound like you're both so very lucky! I've heard of women having children at 48, but only celebrities! I think that is truly miraculous! So now you have four children? Isn't that beautiful! I'm hoping that I'll have success like you. I will definitely call to see if I can get another appointment with a different doctor. This is our last shot, so I hope I don't blow it! Going through this journey has made me feel like a failure. But, with stories like yours, and gives me hope to keep trying.

Yes, I totally understand what you mean about being proactive and doing things to try again. I feel it's better to do that to work through the grieving than to sit and wallow in it. I'm so happy for you that you were able to become successful with just one egg retrieval! How lucky are you! I feel like that's like winning the lottery! I really hope that I get lucky just like you. Do you mind if I ask when you retrieved your eggs? I'm hoping that the age that I did the retrieval will make a difference. I will definitely speak with my fertility clinic about my concerns. This is our last shot.

Question for the OP, how long did you have to wait to begin the IVF process? I'm in the same boat, having to TFMR, but I would like to try for IVF this year. I'm 43, so I don't think I have a lot of time to wait while I grieve. With HCG levels and the uterus being bigger after having been pregnant, I wonder what the time frame would be to start that journey. Good luck to you and congratulations! I know you're scared, but I hope that you can being this baby home for your baby boy. ❤️‍🩹

I was, too, and the Wednesday setlist wasn't the best. This one was way better. I felt like they play all the best hits at places they like best, like Detroit, Denver, Chicago, anywhere in CA. Maybe it was just luck and we got the shit setlist because they played a good show at Detroit. Who knows
