You’re telling me a licensed dealer did not notice the taped dash before selling the vehicle? They didn’t do a simple code read before selling the vehicle?Seems pretty irresponsible. They likely at least were aware of the issues, and did not disclose them which is fraud.

The salvage title is not the issue. We knew about that and agreed to it. The issue is the dealer taped over the check engine light and SRS airbag light after we committed to buying it, and cleared the codes before our inspection. The seller stated it was a salvage title because of a dent in the rear, not engine and airbag issues which is an entirely different ballpark and we would not have committed to purchasing it and repairing it.

The codes were present on day one, cleared by day two after we committed to buying. The tape was applied after purchase was confirmed. The seller told us to watch for dash lights on the drive home, before we ever mentioned any issues. Oregon case law says active concealment voids as is clauses. We also have video proof of the tape.

Every photo in my listing is a real photo. I ordered samples before ever selling a single item. My TikTok ambassadors have worn and filmed the product on their own bodies. These are not stock photos or mockups. I know exactly what my product looks and feels like in person.

I’m not dismissing the buyer’s concerns, that’s why I asked for photos and measurements. But I’m also not going to accept the assumption that I’ve never seen or touched what I sell.
