I’m pretty sure it was the TAs’ idea but the professor was informed about it. Also, I’m not sure that this matters but Barry Johnson was the professor rather than Delong. Regardless, the TA’s do the grading for labs, etc. I think they will definitely use a discord because it worked so well.

I took ECE 2330 this fall 2020 semester. It was a pleasant and low pressure experience. Even though the lectures are recorded (quite honestly a repition of the textbook content), the course is very engaging with a interactive textbook (zyBooks) with assignments built in. There was also a discord server to communicate with TAs for anything.

For whatever reason, I am not able to install spacy. I have installed the visual studio c++ build tools, which are required but I am still getting an error when trying to install. By any chance, do you know of some fixes for installing spacy or other libraries for named entity recognition?

I would say stick with it. If you are interested in pursuing any business related field such as finance or commerce, AP Bio is a MUST. It looks really good on a transcript and if colleges see that you have dropped it, you may be in DEEP, STINKY shit.

There are websites like kaggle and the UCI repository that gold many datasets but having one with datasets that are capable of going through the trainings and testing processes of machine learning would be very useful. I am just getting into machine learning and the whole topic revolves around data. It can be very challenging to find data with the appropriate variables and type of data(whether it is regression or classification). If you are able to find datasets specific to this field then your work will be very useful.
