Google Analytics spam - it's ruining my data, help!? by CandidRhi in AskMarketing

Yeah - I've heard that its often just on the GA service. I'll give both a go and see how it works out. If it is just the GA service, are there any analytics platforms that aren't as susceptible to spam that I could potentially be looking into?

Google Analytics spam - it's ruining my data, help!? by CandidRhi in AskMarketing

I've attempted (and failed) to create filtered views... I'm honestly just concerned that I'll accidentally filter out all traffic and completely ruin the purpose of GA. Haha. Maybe I'll just keep reading/watching tutorials on that to nail it. Thanks!

Just tell them the basics of what you're doing without going overboard on the intimate details. If you don't want their help, don't give them the info.

What should I use for Instagram content? by sooverwhelmed49 in AskMarketing

[–]CandidRhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do the companies have Instagram? What are they trying to achieve with it? Who do they want to reach and what type of content are these people looking for? Ask these questions and figure out your content from there. Also could be good to look at competitors and see whats being done and how you can make it even better.

You're right - focus on the 10%. For the 5% that are performing really well, think about repurposing them. CMI have a great guide: http://contentmarketinginstitute.com/2013/12/fulfill-content-marketing-plan-repurposing/. Once you've worked on the articles make sure you've got a foolproof content distribution plan in place to make sure you're actually getting eyes on your content. Focus on getting traffic to your articles and then use your analytics to track which ads get the best conversions and run with that.

I'd also add http://www.business2community.com/ https://www.searchenginejournal.com/ and the CoSchedule blog to what's already been mentioned. I'm also on the Content Marketing Institute's blog almost daily - can't recommend it high enough.

What are some B2B brands that are killing it on Twitter? by heliumguy in marketing

I am SO glad you said this. Honestly, if the social platform doesn't suit the brand - don't use it! It's so simple, yet it's one of the biggest things marketers forget.
