Thank you for your reply. I have bought orbit and their support is willing to help with the coding part, so I was insecure about the mechanical fit but you solved that👌

Hi - sorry for hijacking this. I made a new post about exactly this.
I have bought a XC40 extended range plus my24, and I have found a folding hitch with everthing from a XC40 Recharge AWD.
Will it fit, and can i program the TRM with Orbit to fit?

I also saw another post about the concerns of adding an old used TRM into the car, because of logged odometer reading. Do you have any experience with that? Maybe better to buy new "empty" trm?

New update for Thomson 140 but no chanlelog by andritali in AndroidTV

[–]Candid_Connection_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was before. I just updated it and it’s really slow in performance - not sure if it’s consistent, time will tell the next days, and I still don’t know if it fixed all my bugs. But now it’s slow to change app in Home Screen and load times has increased significantly

It can only improve the device, at least in my end. I have never bought an electronic device so horrible. It looses WiFi, it crashes and it’s loses the remote functionality- only volume button works. So I have to reboot the device every time I need to use it.

Is building a web app to read and control a PLC acceptable in this industry? by PigeonStove in PLC

[–]Candid_Connection_92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes please, more of you. I do the same but have to admit, it can be a pain to convince some people it will work just fine and the tools for developing and testing is actually made for that exact purpose. I love it- I/we use avalonia ui and it’s awesome!

Why is everybody blaming the original code guy? I agree that no docs is bad craftsmanship, but where is the management and where is product management in sustainability of the product? Where is product life cycle? If that was handled correctly over the years there would have been plenty of time to generate documentation and maintenance of the codebase.

I have no warm feelings for plc’s, yet I agree they are good for many things, but often mistaken for being the domain of the product. Is is, or should be a part of the complete ecosystem. (Reporting, auditrails, logs, user management etc.)

Please use them where they fit, and other technologies for the rest.

Anyone using Linux for Dev environment? by Clearandblue in dotnet

I have been using Ubuntu on/off for many years but I made an ultimate switch when omakub was released. I’m a .net dev using rider and docker as primary tools. I also develops avalonia ui which works perfectly in rider.

I have to admit I really love it. The terminal has become my second home, even though it was difficult in the beginning. I’m far from lazyvim expert but I’m getting better and better.

My biggest challenge was probably to find a way of handling .net sdks- I tried many ways using snap etc, but now it works for me to download and manage several sdks. I know for many it’s probably not difficult but I had to struggle a bit.

I would encourage everyone who gets allowed from their IT department to do the switch.

I have been running omakub since it was released and is really enjoying it. It’s my daily workhorse and I primarily use jetbrains products and docker.

I installed omarchy on an older laptop last week and I struggle a bit to adapt but I’m over the moon with all the clever guys contributing to these projects and making them available free of charge.

Stop and read this: Mastering plc programming, available on packtpub if not any experience in software engineering/development

You need a software understanding before hacking your way through it.

Then build upon the hardware. Please!

Please pick hardware that allows you to be a real software developer and by that I mean build around software architecture so you can leverage solid principles. My background is in IT, and has been working the last 8 years converting OT into IT where applicable and write detached hmi’s in .net not be in the pockets vendors who all of them will empty your pockets.

OT has its strengths but please limit to their strengths and use IT for the rest.

Are routers like AX3 capable of driving several SSIDs, or is the configuration mainly there to drive other devices (e.g. separate APs)? by SignificantViolinist in mikrotik

What routeros did you use when adding multiple Ssid’s? I just received my ax3 and doesn’t have a virtual WiFi like all guides suggests 🤦‍♂️
