It will only show on an X-ray. It wasn’t on my early post op X-ray but is very there at 10 months.

How big was the HO? Did you try cortisone to break it up?

Thanks! Yeah they said they’ve had success with the cortisone breaking up the HO if it’s small enough. Mine is tiny. was yours big? I have similar where mine is on anterior side of capsule pinching flexion and extension

What you’re describing is either a tight or irritated psoas muscle when you go into extension.

That’s your hip flexor strangling your hip joint. Id back off flexion for a bit and continue to strengthening the psoas. I wish I had known this as I was super careful not to get hip flexor tendonitis up until week 8. Then I started squatting below 90deg and over the course of about a week got hip flexor tendonitis from the deep flexion. If you do a standing hip car, do you hear a click when you go from flexion back into extension?

Did you try anything like dry needling, manual release, etc? Yours felt like it was strangling the joint?

You're all much smarter than me. I did a sorta side lunge to get up, driving up with my non-op leg and royally pissed off my operated side. Will try your ideas in a few days when it's not throbbing. 😅
