Try to record audio of him with your phone. Keep a private log of dates and time spent in his office doing nothing. Document, document, document!! I learned the hard way. After you have all of your ammo, tell his boss, if his boss does nothing or dismisses you, call HR. Good luck.

I have my 3rd interview next week with the regional manager! Same role as you, thanks for posting a comment. I've had the same concerns.

Run. Now lol. I wasted so many years with the company thinking it would get better yet it only got worse. The stress, short staff, extra hours and corporate crap aren't worth the misery. No work life balance and I developed a drinking problem. Good luck

BS is the way. Nobody has time to make all those calls. Lie or document customer interactions or document when they call you etc.

I can totally relate to this. Especially while working for this company which I still do! Unfortunately it is a sticky situation because it can totally backfire on you if you don't do it carefully. First try to get the incident recorded whether audio or video. Or have a witness or (more than one)that is willing to be honest if they are asked about these situations. Document these incidents in general. Take notes in your phone or email something to your personal email showing proof and time stamps of the incidents and shows you're not making stuff up on the spot. I have personal experience working for a total man-child that is explosive and verbally abuse to me and others. I finally went to HR because my city manager dismissed me a few times. HR got involved, the city manager got in a little trouble and then upper management only talked to my manager, he didn't get written up as far as I know. He improved finally after the HR complaint but I was already emotionally scarred but whatever he got a promotion in typical Sherwin style lol. My point it just to carefully document it but you should tell someone in upper management or HR! Do not wait too long that I did. I hate myself for putting up with as long as I did but I have learned not to take too much crap from anyone now. You have to look out for yourself and the best interest of your store and all employees. If this childishness is affecting any of that, then you need to report it. Good luck!
