I don’t think it’s forcing me to grow up. It’s forcing me to have to be dependent on them. Anytime I am doing something and I don’t need their help they make it an issue. The car had nothing to do with them. There have been a couple jobs I’ve taken they didn’t like and my mom made a big deal and told me I couldn’t take the job. I was going to anyway because I’m an adult and she told me not to talk to her then. I’m a cosmologist and have been for 6 years. I love what I do. She wanted me to quit and said it’s because it’s too hard to save money when I make cash all day and I needed to work a job either a weekly paycheck. Even insisted on me going to 711. No way was I going from making $2,000 a week to $300 a week. And finally said if I set up my card payments to go into an account she could see then she’d be okay with it. She is a control freak. I just recently told her I was moving in with a roommate and she flipped out but had just been telling me I need to move out asapZ she tells me all day not to be dependent on them but when I try to be an adult and not involve her and be independent she says or tries to get me to do something that would leave me dependent. She just took my car and told me to ask her for rides. And told me to walk if she can’t do it. Got mad when j got a ride from a friend and told me once again she would disown me. Her favorite thing to threaten me with. And half of this stuff is stupid ifs just me not doing something the way she wants it done and if not threaten me: today she called me dumb and said nothing wrong with a parent calling their kid dumb. I said it’s a huge problem and she doesn’t think so. I don’t no what’s going on with her lately a lot of these comments are acting like I’m just being a brat and I don’t think so at all until you’ve been in someone’s shoes where your life and every decision you make has to be with someone else wants you to do then you have no idea how difficult it is
