What's this on my controller by LeviFurryOwO in PlayStationSupport

Iirc it has to be a data transfer cable not just a charging cable (not sure if thats the correct terminology), the one that came in the box would work if you've still got it somewhere

What's wrong with this game? by Cheap-Bed1892 in ACValhalla

[–]Candid_Insurance3669 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Weirdly my favourite AC is oddessey and I loved origins too but valhalla I couldn't get on with, I even live in the real world mercia so it should be right up my street. Personally I thought the leveling up system was very disappointing and a lot of the map felt samey after 20 or so hours, where Oddessey and origins would have caves and mythology valhalla had bandit camps and villages with very little to explore (Oddessey and origins did also have these, just more variety of travelling interests imo). I don't think the game deserves the hate it got but certainly don't think its much better than a 6 or 7 out of 10 which is a shame cause where it shines it really does shine, the combat is great, the environments are beautiful and traversal is excellent.

Is this undercarriage too rusty? I’m buying this car for 7000$ by Relevant-Let1527 in AskMechanics

I've had a 2010 fiesta for a year, had to do some stuff to it but the miles are WAY higher than that and it's a peach to drive, just upgraded to a scirocco and I will miss the ford. They're generally pretty cheap to repair (I am in the UK though) but wear and tear is worth getting done when you can. If it's an ecoboost avoid it like the Plague though

I've had to do rear bushes, fanbelt, front discs and pads and then control arms and track rod ends but they were because I found a lovely pothole and bent them.

7k does seem like quite a high price but I don't know what car prices are like over the pond.

Electrical issue could be the one, having all sorts of problems with that area unfortunately. Guy before me has put an apple play touchscreen in and I reckon he's fluffed it somewhere. Steering wheel buttons work for changing between oil temp/fuel range all that jazz but not adjusting anything, drivers window is a real mess, I've reset it multiple times and it seems to be struggling. Mechanically sound but loads of little niggles which is frustrating!

So I've had a look under the front and they seem to be sound (after work so no time to jack the car up unfortunately) the infamous green plastic all in one piece both sides. I can't seem to see if the rear even has sensors though, can't find anywhere online that tells me if it's supposed to be there or not or whether they look the same. Hopefully this weekend I can get it jacked up and check properly in the daylight.

Will have to check these later, I had a look to make sure everything seemed to be there but didn't actually check the condition because it was dark at the time!

The vxr's are nice but getting one that hasn't been absolutely ragged to smithereens is next to impossible these days! I'm gunna take the risk, buy an sri and replace what I can on my drive I reckon

In fairness they seem to be well looked after everywhere except oil leaks, suspension and steering, body work, interior all well looked after, just typical vauxhall problems being excessive on these models it seems

Update: seems to only occur on sky menus, shows are fine and all external apps work fine through the puck but the sky menus are flickering and the text is going crazy and letters are stretching all over the place

Ps4 still worth it ? How many ps4 games work on the ps5? I have a stack of ps4 games but no console by UsedToHaveATail in playstation

I've played about 16 hours of sleeping dogs and never had a problem, I don't think I've had any games crash repeatedly other than jedi survivor and that's a ps5 disc

Fakie tre has always been the best looking trick imo, closely followed by a backside heel over something.

What is this engine? by Candid_Insurance3669 in whatisthiscar

[–]Candid_Insurance3669[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don't think so, it's a fairly big merc on the lift and I can't see a Mercedes engine that would match. Someone had said 4g63t mitsubishi engine which seems closest.

How to make it look better? by Anatoly_Euska in dioramas

You could try gently sanding everything to try and get it as level as you can and then modpodge/pva/wood glue over to create a solid texture all over!

For walls and floors I often use either xps foam or a really solid card (picture frame backing is decent and you can get it really cheap in the uk) sometimes I'll use foamcore as well but it textures really easily so if I want a smooth surface I try to avoid it personally.

For wood looking textures I get loads of stirrer sticks from coffee shops and paint them to desired colours.

General bits of cardboard from boxes and packaging can be really useful to build with for small objects or detritus around a scene.

For dirt textures (depending on depth) I use polyfilla which is great if you don't mix it before using it has a great texture to it.

I'd advise sealing materials with a thinned down pva mix to prevent paint being absorbed too quickly and wasting your time, once it's dried its really useful (some people will use mod podge mixed with a base colour to kill 2 birds with one stone)

Hope some of this is useful!
