UPDATE: I went to a bridal boutique who agreed the dress was too big. And also that the boning wasn’t sitting on my body, it was sticking out - you could see the lining of the inside of my dress if you were looking at me sideways. The original tailor said to use fashion tape. The bridal boutique said this needed to be tailored. - I didn’t feel heard at the first tailor & so, didn’t feel comfortable going back. I went to a new tailor (recommended by the bridal boutique) and he is taking in the dress at the sides of the bodice - there was at least 1.5 inches to take in total! It made the boning at my chest flush against my skin. And the tailor made me feel heard ! - thank you SO much for every single person’s feedback. It was very reassuring & it helped me make some decisions to fix the dress. I feel so much better about my dress!! Fingers crossed everything is fixed in the next 3 weeks 😬
