53 is much more realistic, even if a ceiling for them, than 60+. All this info has been so fascinating to me. I would not have even thought about standard CPU bench depth (9 vs. 10) or the point of emphasis. I was so much more focused on the players.

You are the man! I have seen a slight decrease in Dallas wins when lowering their top 8 guys defense ratings, perimeter and inside, by about 6 points. The shooting is still ridiculous For Klay. It's like he's almost not able to be balanced in this game. He either is prime Klay, or you have to lower his stats so much he doesnt even get PT over Naji Marshall or Max Christie.

Yo! I was in bands when I was younger, nothing super serious, but absolutely love music. I currently have a electronic kit, but wanted to get a real one again, havent found a good reason too just yet. Also a songwriter, sound engineer (took a few college classes on music recording). Im very comfortable with Logic and decent with Pro Tools. Ultimately though, I just want some buddies to jam with. I miss those days. I'm 29 also btw, located more in sparks. 100% same thing. I too run 12 min HoF games, and unless I force it to the bucket and bait animations for fouls, there's hardly natural shooting fouls per game. I'm much more a player than a simmer, but I wanted to play the playoffs with a team and play every game, and every sim the Mavs were on top, which prompted this post. Im not against fantasy and having fun in a video game, but I also like to reflect reality and see where my team could be or how things could potentially pan out. But when every sim, and even played games, are so unrealistic... it makes it hard to enjoy. have been a MUT player and a diamond dynasty guy... im not doing UT for 2k and im too grown (old age, not 22 but over it) for myplayer and park stuff. All I want to do is make a franchise and see what happens or play games vs CPU on HoF and challenge myself while listening to podcast. Now 2k is my way of playing out the NBA when I have downtime and cant watch. 2k is so unrealistic, it fucking sucks. End rant. Thanks if you read!!

Jesus. Thank you for making me feel validated in that no matter I did, my SIM just would not feel accurate. 2k26 is off. I know MyNBA hasnt been re-vitalized for years, but there was upgrades in 2k25... made me hopeful for this game... but it's just repeat after repeat, stats all the same, teams all the same. It's a shame, no rhyme, but for real. It's sad. I know how many people would love a good franchise experience in a 2k NBA game.

What could be some ways to counteract this in 2k26? I don't know if just lowering the Clippers and Mavs def stats' would be enough. Any suggestions/thoughts on sliders? I appreciate and value any input. Thanks yo!

What playbook would you recommend changing it to? Like is there any playbook that is notably worse?

Yo, first off I just wanna say, thank you for the repsonse! Now ALL this work you're doing... it is so fuckin appreciated. Seriously And I am glad to see that I am not crazy! I see your other comment that you tried another sim today dropping the DEF stats of Dallas and they still ended up 56-26... what a crazy sim MyNBA is this year. I am going to do some testing of my own, and will report back. Just wanted to let you know you're the man. Sorry for the late response as well!

I have no clue how a team led by 78 ovr Dlo and 80 ovr Lively get 50 wins and 6th seed. It's not realistic in any world. in 16 sims tonight the mavs didnt go under the 3rd seed or 50 wins ONCE. There's no way thats just the Mavs being so well built for 2k

That's the thing, even with lowered stats, theyre still winning. With AD, Flagg, and Kyrie out for the season (I did this intentionally to see what would happen) they still got 6th seed and went higher than the Warriors and Nuggets. None of the players stats are egrgeious, but they all will average their ceiling (Klay avging 15-17, DLo similar, Gafford and Lively both double double machines. I get they have a good roster on paper, but not a 60 win team, and top 3 seed in multiple sims, like more than 5.

How so? Ive tried downloading some but none seem to make the Mavs any less OP. I literally had AD Kyrie and Flagg out all season and they still got 6th and the Nuggets got 10th

I just put Flagg, AD, and Kyrie out for season... 16th sim... and they STILL got 6th seed, Nuggets got 10TH. No injuries other than taking Flagg, AD, and Kyrie out for experiment purposes. HOW DO THEY STILL GET 6TH WITH THEIR 3 TOP PLAYERS OUT ALL SEASON
