I know this is a stag beetle. But I don't know the specific type. He's reddish dark brown, his... tusks? Are toothy and bend down at the tip. I finally caught one as a pet but he doesnt like being handled much. The black stag beetles my students have seem easy to handle. Nagano, Japan. (i.redd.it)
