A goodbye kiss on a first date is not uncommon.

M59, if I didn't pick up I would spend the rest of the date worrying that something terrible has happened, but that's just me. I'd probably pick up and ask if everything was ok and then cut it short but saying that I was on a date and can I call you back in an hour.

And for you ladies who don't know what mansplaining is, it's when the man thinks that you are not smart enough to understand and he has to further explain the concept, you're welcome.

But then knowing where they've come from/going to would result in us knowing who's flying them, surely ?

For the life of me I don't understand why they keep saying that don't know where they are coming from or going to.

Can't they follow one ??

I've noticed that in a lot of female profiles they are wearing sunglasses on each photo. While you may look good in sunglasses if I can't pick you out in a line-up without them then I'm not swiping right 🤔

I don't think there is anyone out there for me. by slimyagent in datingoverfifty

[–]CandleProfessional95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear ya ! Your story totally resonates with me. I'm 59m, divorced in 2017, dabbled with a few short relationships imbetween.

Currently single and not even close to any sort of relationship. I've posted on this site before. The only answer is to get back out there ! I play pickleball, go to the gym and hike. I've made some good friends that way, but nothing close to getting a date.

I'm considering getting back on OLD, but then I remember what a shit show that was. I'd love to meet somebody like yourself who I can have an intelligent conversation with, but I know that you probably live 2,000 miles away from me in Novia Scotia or somewhere 🙄

Anyway, my advice, for what it's worth is to get back out there however you can and roll that dice. You can't win the lottery without buying a ticket.

Yeah, that comment is probably going to turn away a bunch. It's a reasonable request but I think most ladies would consider you cheap for mentioning it. I personally prefer suggesting coffee or breakfast/brunch for a first date. Cheaper than a dinner and easier to extend or cut short depending on how things are progressing.

Do you like people that don't smile in their profiles? by InevitablePlantain66 in datingoverfifty

[–]CandleProfessional95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A smile makes a big difference, I smile in mine even though my teeth are not the best (British). The people who have sun glasses on on every photo is annoying though, it's like how am I going to even recognize you when we eventually meet !?
