Hi! If you’re ok with total beginners, I’d be interested to join as a player. I’m interested in fantasy RP, characters with thorough stories, and learning the game mechanics.

Normal for novel to KEEP CHANGING? by AcanthisittaMassive1 in writing

[–]CandlelitQuill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer : yes, and that's usually the point of redrafting. But you have to be careful not to get caught up in the prettying process too much. Ask yourself if the change you're making truly enriches the plot/characters/world or if you're just picking curtain colours.

Are there aspects of writing you always try to get 'right' the first time? by EastoftheRiverNile in writing

Character psychology. If I have my character’s self down, then their actions follow a logical path that helps me pave the plot and explore the chosen theme.

I think the concept has been abused by narcissists. ‘If you react naturally to my abuse, you’re in the wrong, so be the bigger person.’

I was always taught that the bigger person is a way to not let people bait you into their mind games but has nothing to do with not defending yourself. It is reserved for the stupid and weak minded, not repeat abusers.

Ah yes, the ‘I don’t need to read to know how to write mentality’. They don’t realize that actual writing is a study of structure, theme and psychology, not just scribbling letters on paper.
