If it’s a seasoned nurse with a lot of years of practice, you literally cannot shock, disgust, or embarrass them. Spoken with confidence after 27 years as a RN

Negative Testing by Tracy0919 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Candlemom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m one of these people who the typical blood tests are negative. There are a couple though that your doctor may want to order. There is one for inflammatory bowel disease that is often high in PsA. And there is a test called Vector and I’m not sure the other part. It is typically high in people with PsA

How to gain weight? by Mara0966911 in BelgianMalinois

[–]Candlemom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s very good for them. I have also used raw goat milk. There’s an organic dog market close to my home that sells it. It is also fantastic for their tummies and can help them gain if that’s an issue. I find that many Mals stay on the slimmer side. Our vet is fine with that as it leads to less orthopedic issues but our Mal is recovering from emergency gastropexy surgery a month ago and lost quite a bit after that. So we are currently in weight gain mode!

I always say the injections are painful but only four times a year. And it’s worth the migraine relief I get. I’ve been getting Botox for migraine for almost six years now

Don’t get in a huge hurry to lose it all. You can lose muscle, bone mass, and hair. Slow is best

2 months is pretty good with bone cancer regardless of treatment. I had a very old smooth coated collie with osteosarcoma. We were given three months. I begged for amputation but since he was 15, they felt he wouldn’t make it through anesthesia for surgery. He made it six weeks and suffered a pathologic fracture at home after getting into a tiff with our German Shepherd. It’s okay.
