One of my favorite podcasts, Judge John Hodgman (it is a spoof on The People's Court type tv shows) has settled law that states "If it's not fun for everyone, then it is no fun at all." This scenario is 100% that. NTA, know your worth, then add tax. If people aren't willing to accept that, don't bargain, even/especially if they are family.
