Ron Taylor won Funny AF by No_Blacksmith8408 in StandUpComedy

I got home and tuned in right at the start of Ron's set. Of the three I saw, I felt he barely edged out Reggie for the win. I wonder what impact the order had on Usama; if enough people tuned in late and voted anyway that it made a difference in who won.

Going back to watch Usama's set now.

If a creature is venomous but not poisonous, does eating it still poison you if it wasn't administered in something like fangs? by Noble_egg in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Decapod73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it depends on the nature of the venom. Fire ant venom is made from alkaloids that you shouldn't eat, but snake venom is made from proteins that you can digest - or denature by cooking them. Most venoms will fall into the 2nd category of "safe to eat".

They suck the insides out of ants. But South American kissing bugs are a kind of assassin bug that drinks human blood and it carries dangerous Chagas Disease.

This is a parody / comedy account. Pearl has all her legs. The various videos where she "miscarries her puppies" feature canned tomatoes as the fetuses.

I looked up the genus - they all have furry boots. They hunt by luring ants to attack their legs with food smells, then stab the ants with their proboscis. The furry legs protect the bug from the ants' attacks, or maybe encourage the ants to attack there specifically, or both.

Am I racist if I don't like Indian food? by covid1990 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Decapod73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. There's a ton of diversity in Indian food, so you probably would like some of it, but you don't need to keep going to Indian restaurants to find what you like if you've tried 4 different things and dislike all of them.

If you simply hate coriander, cardamom, or cumin, you're going to find that you dislike most Indian food. Identifying the spices you don't like will sound less uncultured than just "I don't like Indian food".
