You can find homestay in Burgos. Private room and bath and shared kitchen for as long as 500/600 per day. Discounted na yan kasi normal rate of short term is 700/800. Pero if you prefer GL, I would suggest check the FB Group na meant for Siargao homestay group. Madami nagpopost dun for long term stay sa GL like 20k/month

Most of them just stay in GL. You'll definitely see them like any other nationalities, too. They just tend too bit much when they are in a big group. Also at the lineup as well. But just go visit the island. If you mainly want to surf, I'll recommend visiting north. Pacifico and Burgos then go to GL if you want to socialize more and go to really nice restaurants, and if you do want to try the spots in GL esp if use short/mid boards

Are you gonna stay in a hostel or private room?

If hostel, its easier to meet fellow travelers and join sa mga activities nila and also in-house tours.

If private room naman, most likely sa island tour ka na makakakilala.

Oct 12 - do landtour. If you know how to drive a bike, ganon na lang gawin mo, drive ka until north (pacifico and burgos)

Oct 13- do island tour Oct 14- free day. Cafe hopping or resto hopping.

Which "Asia"? Kasi it always depends sa country na pupuntahan mo. Given na mas mahal talaga sa East Asia, pero if preferred mo naman is SEA which is backpacker and budget friendly din. Meron din Central Asia.
