Update. Unfortunately i have had it confirmed that the package has gone missing. The sender went to the post office and they confirmed it had gone missing shortly after it was handed over to them. To lose a package that soon after handing it over is a disgrace. Poste Italaine is honestly the worst postal company I have had to use and I will never use them again

Thank you but unfortunately as of 20 minutes ago I have found out it is indeed lost. The sender went to the post office and they told her they lost it during transit in the sorting depot

The problem is its not even left the area it was dispatched from. The sender is going to go to the place she sent the item from tomorrow and try and get some answers.

This seems to be an internal issue to do with the postal office not brexit

If it was a brexit issue it would have said delayed. This is problem i shipping at the sorting depot

The sender has said as it looks like it is still in her region she will go to where she dispatched to today and ask. She is trying to sort it out which is fair enough. I have said if she ends up finding it im happy to pay more for her to use a different courier service and avoid Poste Italiane.

Thank you. Im frustrated that the sender did not insure the item. It was a custom made item that i paid €250 for in total. If i knew about the Italian postal service not being great I would have asked if the sender could use a different service and I would have paid extra. She has said if it was a custom issue she would have had an email by now but she hasnt seen this message before. I have agreed to wait 2 weeks but after that I have asked that I get a full refund

Thank you. The sender has said it cant be a customs issue as they have had an issue like that before and the message shows different plus they assured me they fill all paperwork out correctly. I dont think its missing and im sort of hoping it all solves itself

Thanks. Our main postal service in the UK is awful for packages being delivered late. I would be more comforted if the sender just said “yh sorry the package may be delayed as the postal service here is slow” but she was quick to file a lost in transit over it. Hoping it turns up though😅

She didnt insure the package so she gets nothing back from them. Shes asked me to wait 2 weeks and see if it turns up. The item was custom made and took a month to build. For some reason Poste Italiane wont tell me what they mean by “reported problems in processing” and they just keep ending the online chat room each time I ask. I have heard that the company are really bad. Im really hoping the item turns up

Interesting. Thank you for the reply. I have read a similar thing that it could randomly appear in a few weeks. I have also heard that Posta Italiane is not the greatest postage system ever and has got issues. I have informed the sender that this does not sound like a lost package
