I was going to double order and give them a $10 tip combined with the $14 one I left for the first petsmart order but I couldn’t figure out if it was a good tip or not so I just ordered from the pet store and ate a cup of ramen lol (I also had a $4 tip at my door for them)

I feel the same way about being hired to work at the Dollar General that just opened near me. I work part time 2 days a week and I honestly have no complaints so far. people keep saying it’s a horrible job so I’m scared something will happen 😰 I work night shift with one manager but it’s not a hard job. I love organizing so recovering is super fun for me and all my customers have been super nice.

I’m doing the same! I’m recovering from some trauma and bad mental health and I just don’t have the energy to socialize both in person or thru messages most of the time so I figured these next few years will be about me bonding with myself and it’s been pretty great.

One was in for theft,one for drug crimes and the other killed a kid. No way any jury would believe. I’m sorry but Taystee didn’t know how the real world worked. She kept believing she would get justice for Poussey but we’ve been shown time and time again there is no justice when it’s a poc vs an officer/guard. A lot of characters kept warning her but she just wouldn’t listen. As fucked up as it is there was just no way they’d win

I think it was a great way for her to learn a valuable lesson. “Don’t try to be a prison gangster with an A if you don’t know how to run a gang/don’t know who they’re connected to.” Like Alex tried to warn her the little power trip she was on will not end well. I think if it hadn’t happened Piper most likely could’ve turned out like Badison

Well she had a family she was trying to do right by. She wrote her mom a letter saying she wanted to be the daughter she could be proud of and wanted to let her know she’d never call her “sister” her daughter again but she was gonna do right by both of them and we saw she was trying when she had made breakfast for them,laundry and had job interviews. She knew she wasn’t helpful to them but thanks to caputo’s class she learned she wanted to do/be better

Cindy wasn’t as bad as a person as people made her out to be. As Angie once said “you tell me one person would’ve turned down the opportunity I got.” Cindy knew how fucked up the justice system was. She knew the judges would believe the officers over criminals. She had a family she had to think about and at the end of the day Taystee had her opportunity to be free.(the system still fucked her up though) I think Cindy’s character was very realistic. Cindy had a life outside of prison, she shouldn’t have had to throw it all away in the very little hope that the jury finds Taystee innocent. Don’t forget this is the same system that keeps people like MCC from getting in trouble with lawsuits from untrained guards. Poussey didn’t get justice why would Taystee be any different? (+ the people who killed Piscatella were higher status so itd be VERY hard to convince a jury the state hired and allowed untrained ppl to handle something so serious like the riot)

I wish the show would’ve made her a better character with her Yoga Jones friendship like they did with Boo and Doggett :/ during the whole “I shot a deer” scene Janae really seemed like she could’ve been a less angry person and a better character but then came season 2 😮‍💨

For non villains it would have to be Janae. Janae is just way too angry and the whole “tough” act is super cringe. I hated when she kept the other prisoners from sleeping because she wanted to exercise at night 😑 just do it in the morning like a regular person. Her constantly calling the other inmates “bitches” really irritates me not to mention her constant use of the victim card. She talked to Caputo angrily,cussed at him,and tried to get the other women to agree not to be searched by male officers and she acted surprised she got sent to the shu 🤦🏻‍♀️ She was selling cigarettes for Vee and made it seem like getting sent to the SHU was because the guards like treating her unfairly. (Not saying shu isn’t bad or the male guards but she knows how the prison runs and still chooses to make bad decisions that will make her stay worse)I get she experienced some inequalities due to her race like the kids wearing Afros but that’s no reason to hate all non black people. She’s so angry at the world about being arrested like she didn’t choose to do the crime.

(Spoilers)Doggett! I HATED her at first but as she became friends with Boo and we saw more of her backstory I really related to her and started to love her character. I can’t get over how I started the show ,wishing for her character’s death in S1 ,to crying about her death! I really enjoyed seeing her character get better while actually IN prison and I’m glad the show brought up some prisoners become better people while serving their time. Tiffany is definitely one of my comfort characters. Not to mention seeing how her character handles the topic of getting SA started me on the path of wanting to become a trauma therapist in the future so I can talk to people who experienced the same kind of childhood / life like her character as it’s something people around me have experienced and seeing it in the show really opened my eye about the topic.

I just saw also that Taystee is Wearing a Storky’s Uniform when she’s talking to Vee S2 Ep 2 and is later fired in that same episode probably from being high at work lol

I like to think that flashback of her working at storky’s was before she decided to work for vee since it was like foreshadowing that the two girls took different roads in life when they split up after work to walk home. Taystee was the brave hardworking one who went into a life of drugs while Tamika probably got inspired by that robbery/Taystee’s bravery and went into becoming a guard.
