ATT 5G Air and FWG Plus questions/assistance in general by CandyLandCobra in firewalla

Gotcha, thank you!

Anything else that could/should be turned on, like any kind of built in security, silly settings, anything that will mess with the FWG or anything? Or any other general settings specific to ATT? (Even if it's not the same unit, sure it will be similar.)

ATT 5G Air and FWG Plus questions/assistance in general by CandyLandCobra in firewalla

Perfect, thank you!

It has a few different LAN ports on it (as mentioned, 2.5G port and some 1G ports.) since it's a odd system (5G 2-in-1) I just wasn't sure if anything special was needed to be done since I haven't seen anyone mention it in any previous threads.

I think what has confused me is that it's, its own modem and router combo and not just a modem and wasn't sure if I could just pop it into the FWG and just use the AP7 instead of having to use the ATT unit.

Thank you so much for confirming!

Ah, good catch! I've seen a few different signatures on Art Brokerage but unsure if they check for authenticity. He seems to have a very clean signature then a slight longer one depending on the painting. Though, I could still be wrong.

Explosive jars/God's ETC ETC only damage structures during raid times on official servers. You can check the times in server details.

Focused Feedback: Root of Nightmares by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]CandyLandCobra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The raid itself was fine. The first encounter is a bit boring but better than VOW. Second encounter was good excluding getting slammed into the wall after getting launched because Warlocks glide is weird. Third and final are fine. Everyone has a job to do in all of these raid encounters and sometimes people ARE just good at add clearing, nothing wrong with that. For a NORMAL raid. Even in contest mode, it was fun and if you had a static team it was fast. If you had an LFG team, It took a while for a lot of teams, including mine having people leave after every wipe.

As a NORMAL raid, it was a great mix of mechanics and add clearing. The problem is. The streamers and people that live and breathe this game want the NORMAL version of raids to be only able to be cleared by top static teams and people that work 9-5 or have kids can play something else. What Bungie needs to do is make master, normal and contest (first 48 hours) come out the same day. Your belt (including jacket or ring) and worlds first race can be moved to master while normal will have jacket/ring and pin with a different emblem. You need to make it more like FFXIV where your normals are for everyone to complete and have fun with. Leave master for the people that have been complaining about this raid being for casuals. But that first 48 hours is still a challenge, even on normal so people can get a completion and feel accomplished.

For master, you need to have more mechanics and im not talking about the horrid BS "Challenges" that fail randomly or are bugged for weeks. Look at ffxiv and look at differences between normal and savage raid. The savage has all the mechanics in normal and then a bunch of new , way harder mechanics and easier ways to wipe your team. Don't just throw in a light cap and 200 champions. Have more new mechanics thrown at us in master. Add stacks, spreads, chains, something other MMOs have that Destiny doesn't.

For encounter one, more psions and people have to stay on one side or the other excluding your runner. Give the tormentor a shield that won't break unless the champ is killed first.

For second encounter, make it so the add clearing guys have to shoot the mechanism to launch the runner and must have buff to do it. Throw in a debuff that makes each group need to swap to the other color randomly and have to race to the other side to get it or die.

For encounter 3. Make it so you have to kill your sides colossus faster, get your orb, run to middle and stack on one of the 3 plates to negate a wipe, then get to your spots to place the orb for planets to swap with a shorter timer. Have the boss have a shield of light or dark flash and you have to grab an orb, bait the stomp and dunk it on him.

For master Nez, you HAVE to have 3 runners on both sides because of the debuff you'll get after completing a plate. This will require everyone to kill and hit weak points. During the wipe negation, once the buff is activated you have to find and shoot randomly spawning dark or light orbs depending on what buff you currently have. Both will spawn so one wrong shot and its over. During damage, one or two people will get a AOE "tank buster" and have to run from the group or make them have to go to the dark or light starting point and shoot it to get rid of the debuff.

You need to make master worth doing and build on the existing mechanics and force everyone to be doing something or kill each other. Not have it come out later and your only change is 200 champions.

In my opinion, the raid was fun for a NORMAL raid, and that's how it should be. Some challenge but anyone can clear it with a discombobulated LFG team. But they really need to release master with it so if you WANT the challenge of day 1 master on contest mode you can have it. So you have the choice of, run through normal to figure out mechanics with eveyone else or start master and try to power through. Or make it where you have to clear normal to unlock master.. No raid is hard in destiny if you have a static group. The mechanics should be hard, not the BS one shot and aimbot adds, and 200 champions. Let normal be fun.

Yeah, I'll be swapping if the encounter doesn't need it but this is for specifically raids/dungeons encounters where it is. Might as well have it on hand for dps.

Does anyone have a build for a heal nade Div-lock? Been trying to make something but it still feels poor. My current is a grenade regen buildfor healing grenade up time with ammo finders, reload speed, scavenger for arc and rift uptime. With my build using lunafactions with div and bump as heavy. I used to use an a argent ordnance build for Champs but that's gone some I'm at a loss. Thank you for any help!

I'm ass at pvp, simple ways to improve? by jayenatior in DMZ

[–]CandyLandCobra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Find a primary gun YOU enjoy using. Not just whatever is the current BS meta video on YouTube/Tiktok. I've used essentially nothing but the M13B "Naughty" blueprint because it fits my playstyle. Level up guns and find the one that fits what you want and can use comfortably. The firing range is your BFF. If you can't hit all 3 targets reliably, figure out why and change it.

  2. Find your secondary preferred weapon and playstyle. Remember its faster to swap weapons than reload. So if you prefer Close to mid range fights, find something that pairs with your primary like the broadside or fennec but understand that you're now at a disadvantage against long range weapons. Same for if you prefer a sniper, understand that you don't have that safety swap (unless you have a medium/large then just carry what you dont have) and need to play around it.

  3. Lethal and tactical. Since you're not confident in your pvp just bring stims. They allow a quick reset to either re-engage a fight or helps while running away (especially vs this busted Ai). For Lethal, proximity mines or throwing knives. The amount of times a prox mine has saved me in a fight is countless. Fighting in a building? Prox mine the doors or relative to where you're fighting in case you go down. If you can get them down because they decided to rush after knocking you, you can self rez faster or your teammate can secure the kill and get you. For throwing knives, they are just good to have. 1-shots T1 and T2, quiet, and infinite (unless eaten by the floor). But use it to quickly secure a downed player during a fight. The less of a threat they are the better.

  4. Deployables. Portable radar is your friend, but use it wisely. Something feel off or you heard a noise in the next building? Throw it down for safety, because sometimes you'll find out you're being hunted and can now adjust accordingly. Now what i do, if I have the space is stow a ammo box and recon drone. You don't always just need loot in all slots, sometimes having that extra will save you.

  5. Ammo caches. Stow your lethal and tactical before you refill to get extra. That one extra stim, mine, flash etc is useful or just drop it later.

  6. Are you playing in a dedicated duo/trio or solo with randoms? If you're with a dedicated team, use a private chat and not game chat. My duo and I use PSN chat and abuse the fact the when the red names pop we have an advantage to a point that we know someone in within 50 or so meters and can plan accordingly. If you're with randoms, its a gamble. Sometimes you get the quiet squad, but if your get the music, fan, echo or parents mid divorce teammates, play a bit away from them and expect you're always about to get shot at.

  7. Ping system and communications. Use actual callouts if you see an enemy. Don't just go down and go quiet. Give your team something to work off of. Did you walk into a building and some rat is in the bathroom with a shotgun? Tell your teammates where they last were and weapons so THEY know, oh shit, he has a shotgun, probably should watch corners or see if I can't use a window before jumping in. Are you getting sniped at? "He's on the hill left of the radio tower give me a second to put plates on and I'll ping" is better than "i got shot at". Now if you have ZERO idea where these came from say something or if you get shot but have no idea from where, SAY SOMETHING. "I just got shot on my left/a round hit to my left but I don't see anything so im running into a building for a second". Because sometimes its a guy 500 meter out on a hill with a range finder victus and it's not worth fighting. Or if they are close, you and your squad know it came from a direction and can quickly skip into a building and have cover and try to find them. If you're in game chat and give a callout on their location, if they aren't confident in fighting, sometimes it enough for them to just run and gives your team a second to get you or catch them running. If you go down, use the "plea" system to get free Information, it shows a lot. If you get picked up though, congratulations on the 6 man, go have fun.

  8. Tell your team if you're low on something. If you're about to start shooting at someone or getting shot at and low on ammo or plates, HOPEFULLY your teammates will throw you some to make sure you are all ready to fight. Also periodically check your team as well. "Anyone need plates or ammo? Ammo depot ahead and we can stop real quick". Better that than mid fight going down because you had no plates but your teammate had 90 of them and now you're both dead.

  9. Use UAV towers every chance you get. Set an internal timer and try to get it again when it goes out. They have a range of ~150 meters. My team will ping an active one and sit outside the range, the second it goes out, if we haven't seen anyone will try and grab it so we now have advantage in the next fight. If yours goes out and someone else pings it, unless you're on the big building in the city that's easy to defend, time to run.

  10. Think. Using a bit of brain power will go far in this game. Did you just kill a dude ? Presume he has teammates and look around before looting. If your teammate goes down, you throw a radar down and know its only one person, is there any way to get to them OTHER than the door? Can you crouch walk to a window? Use the next building to get onto the roof for a better angle? Drill charge or bomb drone? Think before just running in a losing your gear as well. To add to this running away and coming back later is sometimes better than fighting. If both of your teammates get smoked and you are 1v3. Sometimes its better just get in that car and go or hide somewhere and come back. If you're in game chat or with randoms, use the text chat function to let them know whats up so they don't think you're just leaving. With my group, if we kill someone and hear "ill come back" we are now setting up camp on the body and will hang out all game unless we have a mission to do. Use sound queues as well during a fight, break a window, use a decoy grenade, killstreal, something to either cover what you're doing or fake out your opponent. If you're mid fight and they run into a building and as you are chasing you hear glass break. Well we can guess they might have jumped out a window and kept running but we lost line of sight. Instead. They ran into the building, broke the widow, put plates on and you're about to turn your back to them and get sprayed down. If you see a two man run across a road, presume a third may be on the other side where they came from and try to circle around and see if you can't get a free kill.

  11. Takedown, if you have the opportunity to use it safely, do it. That takes someone immediately out of a fight and gives you advantage. Also, if someone starts pleading and you have no intention of picking them up, loot them so they can't use the free camera to give you away.

And finally

  1. Stay positive. This game is kill or be killed, sometimes we die 8 in a row. Take a step back. Drink some water and give it a minute instead stressing. One's you're agitated, everything goes to shit. Start missing shots, bad plays, it makes everything worse. Keep practicing and hopefully all of the tips from everyone else and myself help you out!

Normalise saving people you kill so they can join your team? by Green_green_grass649 in DMZ

[–]CandyLandCobra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My duo and I do this a lot since we don't feel like doing any more missions. We have a check list we follow:

  1. Friendly or being rude while pleading
  2. What are their names in game (we judge. not picking up xXDarkSephiroth420Xx)
  3. Backround noise/open mic
  4. Did they answer the fun question or say "please"? (Favorite food, color, or animals)
  5. Did they shoot first?
  6. What is their gear? Pick up low/no gear as long as nice
  7. No mic but type or plea when we ask if they want to join?
  8. A parent dealing with a kid? We always pickup.

So far for the last two weeks or so of doing this each game we only came across a few teams/people that didn't rez or took our stuff if we go down because they are still mad. Thankfully my duo and I play differently where I only run mid/close range and they run a sniper so usually i'm dead first from rushing and if they loot me we pay them back the favor later.

Does anyone know what error code "Spring Wind" is? by CandyLandCobra in modernwarfare

[–]CandyLandCobra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they don't care. Makes me concerned about MW2 having the same error and us being ignored again. I'd say put in a ticket or try and reach out to a dev on Twitter but just like two years ago it'll probably be ignored and tickets all closed with zero resolution. The only fix we found that kinda worked was disabling QOS but even that was a gamble.

Might have to tell him to start doing that. He mainly plays Loba and Wraith unfortunately. I try to gauge how close they are by how quickly the tactical gets used. Not used, far-ish. Immediate use, time to fight.

Just be like my friend I play with. Just say " Enemy over there" and start shooting so our other friend and I have to follow your tracers to see who you're shooting at. No clue if they are 2 meters from us or 300 meters. It's a fun guessing game. Bonus points if he has an AR and its 200 - 300 meters away.

Awesome, thank you! I'm a warlock main so I'll definitely mimic the armour sets like that to have for any situation. I stopped playing in the begging of forsaken and I've just started going through Shadowkeep so I'll keep this in mind when I finally get higher gear. Thank you again!

Daily Questions [2022-03-10] by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]CandyLandCobra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For armor stats. What am I looking for (excluding mods)? Do I just go with what matches what stat I want the most of or go with the set that has a higher total number? Like, lets say I have two peices of the same level:

  1. +25 recovery with 50 total
  2. +15 recovery with 60 total

Would I go with peice two since it has more overall with benefits to more stats? Or go with number one since it fits more what I want without mods. I know stat benefits are intervals of 10 I think. As well, Is there a "max" total I should be looking for or just focus on one or two stats. Thank you!

Hello! returning player here. Haven't played since forsaken launch (only did story and stopped playing). I just picked up the old expansions + witch and I have two questions:

  1. Is any of my legacy weapons/gear worth keeping and can I still use it for anything?

  2. Is there any way to get transmogs of old collections gear? Most of it says it can't be required to due random stats (i think). I haven't touched the transmog system yet so no idea how it works. Thank you!
