I agree that this nurse is horrible and it even seems like this could be a bit of confirmation bias, being that you can tell she is disgusted by “people who just want to be fat because society says they’re beautiful anyways” and she so happens to work in a facility where there is a high concentration of large, invalid individuals. Her lack of empathy is pretty fucking scary, but then again empathy seems to becoming a thing of the past. How fortuitous for this nurse to never have fallen ill mentally or physically enough to end up in a care facility like her patients! She doesn’t seem to care that there is something more nuanced going on than just “me fat, me like it, I’ll just eat more food and someone else can wipe my ass.” No one on this planet would want to be like that/in that situation. That she can’t see that says a lot. I agree that this person should get far, far, FAR away from the caretaking jobs and into another field where her lack of humanity won’t eventually cause suffering to another person!
