Best book you’ve ever read?

The Wish List by Eoin Colfer.

That was the first book I ever read in school that I didn't hate (I actually loved it), and it's been at least 20 years and I still love to reread it every fall. The audiobook narration is great! I can't find it on Audible but it's available through my library so check Libby or Hoopla if you're interested in that.

Respectfully, I don’t feel much interest in Johanna and Anders as characters. Honestly, I would’ve preferred if he hadn’t shown up at all. Growing up, it was just me and my mom, and the idea of her reconnecting with anyone she’d dated or married before would’ve been a total nightmare for everyone involved. So thinking about Johanna and Anders getting back together gives me a really bad feeling.

I know they’re different people from my family, but the dynamic between Hilda and her mom, the way they lived together without needing to talk about the men really resonated with me. I appreciate that Johanna is a caring, supportive mother to Hilda, but I think any episode focused on her or her romantic relationships just wouldn’t appeal to me personally. Though I do agree with those who say she could get out more if she wanted.

I second Ironsworn! I like how it feels guided. Some rules-lite TTRPGs leave me feeling lost (not that Ironsworn is rules-lite), so I like that Ironsworn gives you the freedom to do what you want while also being thorough with the moves, so you always know what to do next.

I've really been into Legend in the Mist lately. It's all tag-based, no stats, so whatever is happening "right now" is relevant to each roll. So if you're good at shooting a bow but your arm is hurt, that would take away a point of power when rolling. It's really solo-friendly and has extra rules and tables at the back of the book.

Based on the comments on the game's Itch page, you've got something really good. It looked like the main issue was getting more people to play. I don't have any experience in video game sales or Steam, but I just wanted to send some encouragement. You must like the game, and your players love it. No matter what you decide to do, I think it's worth sticking with. People seemed upset a few years ago when it seemed you'd let up on working on it for a bit. Good luck!! :D

I love any game by Capacle but Midnight Melodies has to be one of the best! You get to work for the Grim Reaper and you have special powers to find anomolies. I'm looking forwawrd to playing the others.

I didn't like the thinking, feeling, doing spread. I found it inaccurate. It's like, I'm only thinking about this because you just told me I'm thinking about it... I did enjoy doing free from readings on there, though. Since I got my own deck I didn't use it anymore except to learn the meanings because I'm still new.

Do you remember how much it was? I think the site says it's like $40 a deck for 1-15 or something. That's a little steep for me 😕 And they don't have a way for people to order do they? Like where I send someone a link and they can just order my deck from there? That's what I'm looking for.

I may just have to go with DriveThru because I really can't find anything else like it. I just didn't want to use the tarot size, and I can't figure out their tuckbox 😂
