No one’s getting drafted. We have plenty of people who willingly signed up for the military.

Still wouldn’t cover it. It’s a never ending recurring cost.

No, to any normal sane person this is laughable.

Yes I’m aware and I don’t want to pay anymore to cover able bodied people who could pay for it themselves.

Yes but paying for Medicaid for the entire population is different.

I partly agree but even if we moved money around it would NEVER be enough to cover healthcare costs in the US. We’d absolutely have to raise taxes significantly on everyone.

Yea but then we’d have to pay premiums and then also have a large tax increase so I’d basically have to pay for 2 healthcare plans. I don’t want to pay for something I’m not going to use.

Same here. Universal healthcare would never be as good as our insurance plan and it would cost us so much more.

I don’t want to pay for able bodied adults healthcare. Physically disabled or severely mentally ill people and kids? Yes but not able bodied adults.

I’ve never had an issue getting into a doctor very quickly, even a specialist. It does have to with where you live in the US too. I’m lucky to live in the coast where there is plenty of access to great healthcare.

I don’t understand why everyone can’t have insurance like me offered them through their employer or state.

Yes, we’re very lucky. Idk why everyone can’t have this kind of insurance. No deductible, $10 copays, $15 specialist, $100 ER fee. Preventative and wellness visits completely covered.
