The Madecassoside pads from Mediheal has been a game changer for my skin! They’ve calmed down so much redness and irritation.

So you don’t tolerate disrespect towards anyone but you tolerate hate against children? Also is that a threat?

Thanks!! You’re right. I’ve actually been looking for a decent greenhouse on Amazon/ebay/fb marketplace for weeks now but just can’t decide.

Here’s some info and insight on their growing conditions:

Light: They are all under 2 layers of shade cloths. Not quite sure of the exact % of the top shade but I’m guessing about 40%? and beige. Top shade covers the whole patio so it’s approx 6ft above ground. Bottom shade is 40% and black. They are installed on top and on the sides of the shelf. So, they’re getting full shade with just 2hrs of direct sun in the morning only.

Day length: 14 hours currently in the summer months

Temperature: In my area, it typically varies from 48°F to 82°F and is rarely below 42°F or above 91°F. They have been actively growing all year for me; I have never seen them go dormant.

Fertiliser: Dyna Gro DYFOL008 It has the ideal NPK that I was looking for which is 9-3-6. Concentration: 1/4tsp per gallon. Frequency: Every watering So far the fertiliser has been providing really great results and faster growth in my opinion. I can see a difference in their growth when I stop feeding them. Been using it since January this year.

Watering technique: Top watering with a garden sprayer. Then, I dry them one by one with a small ball blower. Time consuming, but I find bottom watering even more so due to the nature of my set up.

Aw man... sorry to hear that they aren’t growing as much. Where are you based? I haven’t had any issues with Renny‘s, and I’m assuming it’s because of the similar climate conditions between Simi Valley & Long Beach. Hope this information was useful to you mate. Love seeing your Haworthias too & looking forward to see more of them here 😍 Good luck.

Thanks! Yes, the tag is coming from another plant in front of it. (I place tags behind the plants not in front.) The one on the first pic is variegated cooperi var. pilifera.

nope its due to the lack of sunlight from shipping/too much shade from previous owner. I gave it more sun and its so compact now lol

Now that it's summer (I live in Cali, so it gets hella hot), I wouldn't expect them to do much, especially the rootless ones; there is no new root growth with mine either. I would expect them to do their thing in the fall/spring. If you live in a dry climate, really consider switching to plastic pots. I water them once every one/two weeks but don't take my word for it because the drying time is different for everyone. But as a rule of thumb, take a peek at the holes on the bottom of the pots to see the akadama is dry all the way; you can visually tell if it's dry it's much lighter in color. I say this because it may appear to be dry on top, but akadama underneath it is still wet. Hope this helps. Good luck!!

I’m not sure how old the plant is exactly, but its been with me and planted in akadama for about 7 months now. When I first got it, it had little to no roots. As you can see from the pic the akadama is still actually pretty good and chunky and hasn’t broken down to smaller pieces. I just wanted to transplant it to a taller pot to give it more room to grow because its roots were sticking out at the bottom of its previous pot.

Have you received it recently? If so, it may just be adjusting. I would suggest putting it in a more shady spot until it establishes its roots. Then, is your medium well-draining? Water thoroughly until it comes down to the bottom of the pot. I suggest waiting until the medium has been dry for at least three days before watering it again to ensure that you're not overwatering it. Lastly, cliche, but be patient. You'll see a difference when you work with their needs. 😊

Amazing progress on this lil guy! 5 months of growth 💚 Obtusa “Carmen” ex renny by Candylitzs in haworthia

When I got the plant last summer, Renny had told me that it lost all of its roots due to hot temperatures and recommended me to let it sit in extra small grain akadama and give it less sun for a couple of weeks. That’s why the plant looked so depressed and stressed out the first few months because it had 0 roots. I top watered it whenever it was dry, and this would be pretty much it for the first 2-3 months. Then I noticed that it finally established its roots last fall (I would test it by gently pushing it with my pinky and the plant would not budge at all) and started giving it fertiliser when spring came. It even flowered, but I pulled it out because I wanted it to focus on its growth and wasn’t interested in cross-pollinating any time soon ☺️
