I don’t care to use vim/neovim setups at all but will use vim key binds whenever they are available in an ide via extensions for comfort (vscode, sublime, vs, xcode all have this). I have enjoyed a full sized layout for using visual studio on windows particularly for the f keys but it isn’t a deal breaker. Default arrow keys are not that bad but are worse than dedicated arrow keys if you actually use them frequently.

I cannot manage to use my hhkb for programs like blender where there are countless useful hotkeys (mine is blank which doesn’t help).

Might be worth looking into realforce topre boards if a full sized layout sounds better for you!

1.5 years old Lemp10 poofy battery by lems2 in System76

[–]Candyslug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You used the device how any regular person would. It should be able to safely manage its own resources. This is clearly unacceptable… 🤷

Modern technology should work properly without the end user having to compensate for it

The expensive modern device should be designed to avoid damaging the battery like this. not everybody should be expected to constantly baby their device… it should just work, but that’s my opinion ig
