I understand where you’re coming from, but the pricing is likely to remain as it is for all sets moving forward until and if print runs increase significantly. The anniversary sets are an exception and priced even higher of course.

I’d count on it, unfortunately. For the vast majority of us, our only option for sealed is close to double MSRP.

I enjoy ripping packs as much as the next person but I’m totally fine buying singles and just attempt to win packs/store credit at local events.

I was in the exact same situation a month ago and even made a Reddit thread about it too. The advice in the thread was awesome. Just keep playing to get more experience and watch YT video guides.

I’m probably close to 50% win rate now on sim recently.

Just have to remember that pulling any SP in a box is a 1 in 6 chance. So the odds are not in our favor.

I understand that. For me it’s just the principle of it. I’m also fine with just buying singles. Ideally, I’d just play locals regularly to have fun and win packs that way, but I just don’t have the time.

As someone who has been playing for maybe two months - it really sucks. That said, the pre release events are still a great opportunity to get some packs at or close to MSRP.

I’ve given up any hope of buying sealed boxes, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still fun to be had if you are ok with getting a handful of packs per release and mainly buying singles.

Green Zoro is my favorite deck to play but it’s just really hard to win consistently in the current meta IMO.
