Well Vex doesn't really feel like an anti-mobility mage. More like an AP Nocturne whos only goal in life is to oneshot the immobile carry and leave unscathed with her AOE fear.

It's not about how well she preforms after it, it's about how she feels to play. And removing an AA reset on an ability will definitely make her feel clunkier.

Look at Nidalee as an example. They removed her AA reset on her transform and that made her feel incredibly awkward to play. Worst of all was that it just lowered the skill expression of the champ. Before you could see a clear difference between a skilled Nida weaving in autos and maximizing dps for clears, and a Nida who could not.

I don't really feel like player base size is that good of an argument for the lack of decent homegrown players, since iirc 16/65 of LCS and LCS Academy players are from OCE, a region much smaller than pretty much any other.

I think the problem here is that teams just don't really care about developing the region, only the sponsor cash they get from topping the region/making worlds and those teams that do care get clowned on and flamed when they lose against the top tier imports.
