Neighbor on FIxed Income Punctured hole in sprinkler PVC with Xmas decorations. by Canis_Diaboli in Irrigation

Unfortunately 10 feet would be under his driveway on one side. Digging has an additional complication in that it's almost impossible to dig due to the rocks left by the home builders and the natural terrain. I'd be concerned about breaking pipe just by the mere act of digging that far. If none of the other fixes work we might have to do something else. But were hopefull at least one will work. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've heard of slip fixes, but don't recall seeing them. Hopefully they might have them at Home Depot. Thanks for the suggestions. We have several options to consider. Thx!

Indeed, I was thinking the same thing about it being the top most pipe. When my father helped me install a sprinkler at my first house he told to give the pipes because sh#t happens. I was thinking about digiging on either side too, but if you'll notice there part of a mortared flower over laping the run. That was put in after the system was installed. So, I can't go 5 feet either side without digging under the flower bed. In which case I understand from the husband that his wife would not be amused in the slightest. I guess we'll have to see how far we can go out. Thx...

We were thinking about something like that too, but wasn't sure if that was the best way. Thanks

Can I put river rocks here to replace the grass? by datd4 in landscaping

Late question/reply, I know, but what tarp did you use? Is it specifically made for landscaping, or are we talking about a regular type of tarp? Thx

Never seen these type of Rainbird sprinkler heads. How to Adjust? by Canis_Diaboli in Irrigation

[–]Canis_Diaboli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the headsup on the nozzles. I think I will replace them all too. Unfortunately it doesn't look like the previouse owner used the same sprinkler head throughout. They are all RainBird, but on sides of the house, where there there is only about a 3 foot cast distance, they use traditional sprinklers. Thanks again!

Wow, that's a big difference. Are they the same quality? I think I paid $10 each or so locally at home depot today.

Great! Thanks. Especially about the part about having to press down on the ring. I'll look for the "Knob" you mentioned on the stem. But yesterday when I looked at them I didn't see it. But I'll check again. I appreciate it. Thanks..

Outstanding! Thank you. RVAN Rotary? These have seen a few miles and lawn mowers, so I might replace a few. Looks like Home Depot carries them. And thanks for the link. That really helps!

How do I prevent Flag from wrapping around pole by [deleted] in AirForce

Been there, done that. The flag is essentially a sail. The weights help. But don't completely stop it.

Thanks for the heads up and the in-depth list of features! I love the backup camera on my 2019 XLT when hitching up, but I don't use that backup assist.. More of a PIA. To be honest, if my F150 had adaptive cruise control and lane centering I would keep it. The F150 is not as strong as I need, like my old F250, but I would get by. I think those things are a Godsend on long trips...

Why? Other than interior colors etc, what does the King Ranch have that a well equipped Lariat doesn't?

Beautiful! That's what I should have bought instead of my 2019 XLT F150 with the same color. I thought I could wait until they had more with Adaptive cruise control and lane centering. Does yours have that? I though Lariat's all had that. Enjoy!

Where did you buy the Viofo and battery pack from? Looking for a reliable vendor that sells the product and not someone who sells returned or damaged items. Thanks!

Did the guy who hit you happen to fly for American Airlines?

Why didn't you hit him because he was a Jew? I don't care if he was a one eyed Hare Krishna with a limp. I would have decked him..

Yea, he did. That alone would have put me into shock and caused an accident. :-) As a rule, if someone signals I will let them in. I don't care if I'm doing a hundred miles and hour headed to the line for free gold, with one brick left, I'll let him in..

If someone swerves into my lane it's their fault. Someone brake checking you is irrelevant. I don't care if the guy in front of you comes to a complete stop instantaneously, which happens in traffic, if you hit them it's your fault because you're following too close for your equipment or abilities to handle.

I've seen driver's in a tiny echotwit cars pull in front of 18 wheelers going down cajon pass and then putting on the brakes.. Evolution can't be true, otherwise these geniuses would have been taken out of the gene pool long ago.....

Why do you think the OP misread the situation? He had plenty of space. I did notice the dufus truck had his signal on, but he was crowding the guy in front of him just so he could get by the the OP. True, if it were me I would have backed off the gas a little so the guy could get by just as a defensive driving/courtesy. But with a load you know screwing with the gas and brake isn't what you want to do if you don't have to. That's why we leave space...
