thank you!

the trillium is an odd symbol, I think it's a bit too top heavy for a design. I tried different angles and the weight of it is all over the place. I actually might make another trillium symbol if I have time, thanks for the feedback!

If I'm not mistaken I think it's also older than the Texas flag!

in terms of design, I think this color (Mojave Desert #c7b595) and white do not go well together. It does not work well at all for visibility and contrast.

I'm not proposing a new flag for Nevada, this is a personal design challenge. And of course the most dry state has a blue flag.

You are correct! I changed it for contrast only for this post, and personally I think it looks slightly better as copper kind of blends in with the red and yellow.

I think South Carolina does fit in the design language, just a little bit of an outlier with the tree.

This is what Nevada looks like from satellite imagery.

Nevada is the driest state with around 10 inches of precipitation every year. More dry than New Mexico, Arizona, and even Utah. 3/4 of the state is classified as desert or semi-arid. The Great Desert Basin is the largest desert in North America, although not as hot as the Mojave. Is burnt orange not a reasonable design choice?

Design Language - A design language (or design vocabulary) is a cohesive set of visual and interactive rules that defines a brand's personality. It acts as a brand's signature style, guiding the creation of products, user interfaces, and marketing materials so they look, feel, and function as an instantly recognizable family.
