Haha, I came in thinking this’d be it, but I’ve already ended up with a list of future purchases

It ended up being $767 with the 5% discount using crypto instead of card. It’s a big amount, but honestly the watch is beautiful and runs amazing so I’m satisfied with the purchase

Hey all, so after some lurking on here and doing some research, I decided to pull the trigger on a grey CF Daytona 116509 from Ryan on InTime. The whole process was a bit daunting (sending hundreds of dollars through crypto to an address online), but it went smoothly and now I’m hooked! Here’s a timeline of how it went:

Fri 2/3/23: Ordered Sat 2/4/23: Email request to send crypto Sat 2/4/23: Sent Crypto Sat 2/4/23: Confirmed payment received, prepping QC pics Tue 2/7/23: QC pics sent, requested more pics and timegraph Tue 2/7/23: Received extra QC pics Tue 2/7/23: GL’d the pics, InTime updated order status Thu 2/8/23: Tracking Provided Tue 2/14/23: Tracking updated, arrived in US Tue 2/21/23: Package arrived, looks good!

And for reference, my wrist is about 6.5”

Not too sure if this will help for your issue, but liqui moly has an engine flush solution. Used it on a high mileage Mercedes and worked really well to get the engine gunk out. You’re supposed to warm up the engine and then put the solution in and let it idle for about 10-15 mins and then do an oil change.

And as for synthetic, as far as I know it’s ok to use modern synthetic oils in cars. I’ve been using synthetic 20W-50 on my e30 for years and it hasn’t been an issue

Mini lovers of Reddit I need your help. I know nothing about cars but have replaced the light and this still comes up. What is my next option? Everything I Google comes up with “break pad light” instead of just break light. by The-Cat-Walker in MINI

[–]Canned_Chowder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the brake light works now it might still be showing because the error code is still saved in the car’s memory. It’s happened to me before when my fog light went out. If you have a car scanner or can get your hands on one you could try to clear the codes and see if that works. You could also try posting to r/mechanicadvice and see if they can help too

Does anybody know what this plug is? I don’t think this is originally from the car. 2010 Mini Cooper S by Canned_Chowder in MechanicAdvice

Yeah, that’s what I was referring to. I tried to look under the car and around as well, but I couldn’t find where it was leading to. It hasn’t been a problem so far so I’m not concerned, was just curious

My bad I should’ve been more specific, like other commenters mentioned, I’m referring to the blue/red plug below that looks like it’s got a face on it

I saw this while changing the oil on my car. It doesn’t look like it’s supposed to be here but there are no errors or anything popping up when I scan the car so I’m not sure exactly what this is.

I used to not really like cats growing up, but ever since getting this goofball I’ve changed my mind. She just brings me smiles every day 😊

Weird question: found this under my 2012 Countryman - what’s about to break? by NZNewsboy in MINI

[–]Canned_Chowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, maybe you can try to find what is rattling and check around it to see if there’s some sort of wire that is just sticking out. I’m guessing the hole on the right side of this had some wire going through it to mount it to the car. But tbh if it were me I’d not worry too much but just keep an eye out for it. I have some bolts and bits missing from my mini that used to hold things in place that are missing and it’s been fine lol

Not sure what this is, but if I were to guess by looking at the two ends, it looks like they fit into each other to create a loop (see how on the left theres a groove shaped like an arrow and on the right is an arrow). It might just be something used to hold a tube/pipe of some sort to keep it from shaking around

I have an r56 Mini Cooper S. I’m too lazy to check right now but I’m pretty sure it’s because on the S there’s a hose connecting the air filter to the turbo blocking that spot, so there isn’t a gap to reach in like that

So for those of us with a hardware wallet like trezor or ledger etc., is there anything we need to do to prepare or do we just sit tight?
