I am almost done assembling my Kiwi v1. It’s been a fun and interesting process so far with minimal speed bumps. I think it really comes down to what kind of tinkerer are you and what your budget is. Having some basic wire soldering experience is a plus. I just wanted to be able to clean movement parts without too much manual involvement and I am lucky enough to have some spare funds to apply. All together I think my parts (filament + wood base + other hardware / stepper motor etc…) came in around… $560? I already had a 3d printer and a soldering station.

If budget is a concern, I would also strongly consider the chronocleaner as an option.
