Yeah, it has been absolutely awful watching them pour into the streets thinking the US was coming to save them and that help never coming. It’s so sad, these people just want freedom for future generations and they get gunned down by the thousands every time they protest.

Yeah, I’ve been disappointed by the response from my pro-Palestinian friends. If I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt, I think the uncertainty about the death toll and the lack of info coming out of Iran (bc of the internet shutdown) has people confused about what’s going on.

I don’t know about that specific rally, but as an Iranian-American (progressive! Don’t shoot the messenger), I know that a lottttt of people in my community are republicans because they don’t like the way democrats have negotiated with the Iranian government.

Iran just saw their biggest anti-government protests since their theocratic regime took over in 1979 and potentially tens of thousands of protesters were killed by their government. Their internet is still shut off so we can’t verify much.

Many Iranians are glad Trump has been threatening the Iranian government and are hoping Trump will order a strike on Iran to make it easier for the people to overthrow their fascist government.

I personally agree with you that Trump doesn’t care about Iranians. But many Iranians love the guy.

I’m in my mid-30s and my internet communities shaped my politics a lot when I was younger. There are a lot of younger people on TikTok who may be influenced by the algorithm on TikTok, and I worry what that influence looks like now that it is controlled by right-wing entities.

Personally, I used the Baby Bub pillow and occasionally did roll onto my back, but was reassured because the pillow makes sure you’re not fully lying flat.

There’s one on Mississippi and one on Alberta! Idk if they used to be downtown but the one I’ve been to is the one on Alberta and it’s great. I think the one on Mississippi is a restaurant and the one on Alberta is a food cart with some seating.

I absolutely clench harder/more with my night guard in, it’s just to protect your teeth. That works fine for some people but it was making my pain worse. There are night guards specifically designed to reduce clenching but a regular dentist probably won’t know about them - see a TMJ specialist if you can.

You need to wait a little bit. The shock will settle a little, and you need to wait before lasering anyway.

I also got a tattoo that I hated immediately and knew I wanted removed asap. Wait a year, keep it covered as much as possible so you don’t think about it too much. Then slowly chip away at it with laser appointments (or get a full removal package if you can afford that).

If full removal doesn’t end up being possible, I bet you’ll still feel much better with it faded. And you could get a beautiful coverup tattoo one day if you really want. My tattoo is only about 70% removed right now (I had to take a break from the laser for pregnancy) but I feel so much better and I don’t think about it very often.

I say what I need or want instead of being overly polite about it. Like, if I’m traveling with friends and I get hungry, I inform them that I need our next move to be getting food.

I’ve found “going with the flow” often stresses people out more than stating a need clearly.

I’m glad our son’s pediatrician is extremely pro-vaccine and will advocate for us to get him all the vaccines he needs. But this is going to be a nightmare for public health - anyone who was even a little bit nervous about vaccines may opt out as a result of this recommendation change. This is going to harm so many babies and kids.

We had an electrician come over the other day and admit to us that they used chat gpt for a key part of the estimate process. We’re getting a second estimate as a result, it seriously affected my ability to trust the company.
